I have a dachshund and one day she looked at me with the sun behind her and her ears were glowing from the backlight. It made me want to draw a picture of Vasco that way! So here’s my best attempt at capturing the halo ear effect that occurred. Bonus: Vasco as a candy corn because his colors made me think of candy corn.

Okay but one time I drew a realistic air vent when I was upset one day and it made me laugh because it was vent art. It improved my mood tenfold compared to the edgy vent arts I tried to draw when I was younger

New blog header! It’s of Rainsnap. I don’t do much digital painting, so this was a fun experiment after some time of just,, not digitally painting. Thought it would be fitting to have the blog header be Rainsnap after renaming the blog to Rainsnap.

Rainsnap Family Tree

There should be a much larger one for this, but right now have a simple version with Rainsnap and his parents, Rainslide and Koarry. Rainsnap is a small little guy compared to his parents, he’s still pretty young compared to the other protags.

Rainsnap

Half short haired cream tabby, half long haired white, chimera tom with one blue eye and one amber eye.

Rainsnap is the son of Rainslide. He’s one of the protags and perhaps one of the more important ones? Originally he was just there, but as the story went on he’s grown to have a bigger part to play in the story.

He’s a quiet sort of fellow with his heads in the clouds. He isn’t really great that the whole reality and existing thing and tends to find himself more lost in what he’s doing than aware of anything. He probably has it the easiest of all the Accursed in the Citadel, but he is ostracized due to his oddness. From the weirdness of his personality to his strange outward appearance, to having a mark. Rainsnap is often found talking to himself and is hardly ever near other living cats. The dead ones though? Now that’s another story.
