Uh, don’t they have a history of being transmisogynistic?
Back in 1999 Kaia and Melissa’s other band, The Butchies, played Mich Fest, which is really really shitty, and there’s no way around that.
They recently did an interview with Jes Skolnik over on Bandcamp where Melissa apologized for that. And as far as I know Team Dresch or The Butchies never played it again. I’m not aware of any other transmisogynistic things they have done as a band, but I know that doesn’t mean they haven’t done them.
