In traditional binding. The raised band (false band) is one of the dificult thing I need to cover during learning. It require so much skill relate to leather, from selecting, paring and covering on book spine. It also requires some hand tools like band nippers (pince à nerfs in France) or band tick. Until now, I can happy with my result after so long time trying to make it better and better.
