So let’s talk about this picture. Those paint colors? They were up on a shelf. My darling three year old (middle child) son woke up at 6:30 AM and instead of waking us up, he trotted downstairs, climbed in my chair, got out these colors, UNSCREWED THE LIDS, turned to a new page in my journal and helped me start a brand new page. While I *want* to be furious, I can’t help but admire his ingenuity and creativity. Our oldest knows my art supplies are HARDCORE OFF LIMITS, I guess it’s time for the middle child to learn as well...we invested a lot of extra time keeping him alive(#hlhs)...I do want him to live. In my house it's a common occurrence to find kids painting. They get the supplies out on their own whenever inspiration strikes. . They know how to only use a little at a time, how to wash brushes, and though they still need reminding, to put it all away. I've realized this is not normal in most houses. . Would this give you anxiety? Trusting art supplies to a 6 year old, unsupervised?
