Read Aloud
Every day, read out loud. Whatever book you want. A cookbook, a fiction, or a parenting handbook are all good books to read to a newborn. It does not matter what you read. It is the tone of your voice, the rhythm of the text, and the words themselves that matter. The amount of words that infants hear has been demonstrated in studies to have a direct impact on language development, literacy, and reading habit.
