Find other blogs here. 3. Parenting In The Age Of Technology One of the major problems modern parents confront is the way that technology has powered every aspect of our lives. Parents work from home, kids are around screens because of online education, and everyone is always checking Facebook and Instagram! Although the original intent of technology was to increase interactivity, emotional connections are becoming increasingly rare. Due to their continual access to the online world, face-to-face interaction between parents and children has substantially decreased. Family members frequently spend hours on their phones or laptops without speaking to one another. Parents are also urging their kids to learn how to use technology. Although life has become more automated, emotions have not. Consequently, our emotional needs—especially those of children—remain fundamentally the same, even though the world around us is changing. Hugs, eye contact, physical touch, and affection cannot ever be replicated. 4 years old Aryan was constantly referring to the big brother when did not want to agree to or listen to somebody. Apparently, the character in the cartoon would have been rescued by that big brother even if he did not behave properly every time. Aryan believed the same could happen to him and he stopped following many necessary rules. His parents had to take a great effort to make him realize that no one could actually help him in real life if he did not complete his school homework or cheat in games.
