Funny enough i've been wanting to redraw this album cover for a hot second so im glad i got the chance to!

This was supposed to be a quick thing but i kept lagging really bad and for some reason my layers kept merging without me knowing ;w; but still fun!

Okay so i chose this album- not JUST bc its my favorite atm (it's Wishful thinking (at its best) by Benches) but bc a good amount of the lines/songs reminded me of Leo and Future Leo and it was scratching my brain.

Originally I was gonna include lyrics to the picture but decided against it

Some examples of lyrics that made me think of them the most:

"Yes, please, don't look at me that way. Don't you go anywhere. Suicide, death to the end. Of all the wishes that we had. Had once in a lifetime."

These lyrics make me think it could be either/both Leo's perspectives. I like to think F! Leo wants to be mad/hate his younger self so much but when he looks at his past self all he sees is a kid. And then the suicide part, he was meant to die in his timeline- he doesn't feel like he is meant to still be alive but here he is! Know he's met with an oppurtunity to keep living- even if he doesn't think he deserves it.

Then past Leo looks to his future self and sees someone he can never live up to. Expectations he can never meet. And it doesn't help that his own future self looks down on him with spite. And he thinks he deserves it. But he wants to prove himself, to keep pushing to make the other see that he can grow and be better. And in part he is! He saved the world, but will it ever be enough?

"My, oh my, my friend. My aching head has said, It's not my fault, it's not my fault. And then you're gone again and life's a spin. It's truly wrong, so wrong."

Both of them having to overcome the weight of guilt and responsibilty they both force themselves to bear. Because at the end of the day, it's neither one of their fault alone for what happened.

"Oh, you and I don't see eye to eye, no. Well, you're stupid. And I, I'm useless. So that's alright, that's okay."

Future Leo talking to his past self. Enoguh said, it speaks for itself. (I'm thinkign of making an animatic for that song in particular bc it's my favorite Benches song in general.)

ALSO THE DESIGN! It's probably obvious but I didn't stick the original design entirely. I went back and decided I wanted it to be clear the difference between the two. By making Future Leo's side more jagged, sharp, and crowded. Also I love how the shapes unintentionally formed their crecents lol (yeah that wasnt intentional at first, but when i noticed that i did tweak some things to make it more clear)

I REALLY wanna make an analysis video of all the unintentional parallels and similarities of rottmnt and dndads that made me want to make a crossover in the first place,,, because there's a lot

Just watched the good omens finale and honestly I don't see why so many people hated on it so hard. Me and my mom both enjoyed it. Do i wish it had more time to really flesh everything out? Yes. But! It was good, especially for being so short. I think Crowley and Aziraphale becoming human is a nearly perfect ending for them, it makes sense. They were always the most humans out of them all. Though it was nice to see everyone get to be human in the end.

AND they literally get to be married in the end. They do get their happy ending, and I adore wholesome little wrap ups like that.

I'm finally watching Samurai Rabbit The Usagi Chronicles and it's actually pretty good. Only watched the first episode so far but Usagi Yuichi reminds me of Po from Kung Fu Panda. I wonder if they took inspo from him- even the 2d animated parts are similar to the ones in Kung Fu Panda. I really like it! Those were my fav movies as a kid so it feels nostalgic.

It's inspired me to insert the furious 5, Po, ect. into my fancomic im working on. Which will be from the POV of my oc Felix :] mainly my goal is to tell his story, but also to explore The Hidden City and side/background characters. I love the turtles, but I wanna see more of the other characters and the Hidden City.

It's got me thinking though. I wonder if there are any other places around the world like the Hidden City? I mean there must be, right? If Yokai were the ones on the surface first, that must be how it was for the rest of the world. I wanna explore that. Like the Furious 5 would be moving from a Hidden City in China to New York.

Hiding this here to confess,,, I used to think Usagi was a tmnt oc the whole fandom just made up and had shared custody over or smth 😔 ik its dumb but i ONLY ever saw Usagi shipped with Leo so I thought thats what he was made for alkjdsfkalsjdfkl im glad hes not tho i like him as a character (and yes this is before I knew there were crossovers with usagi in the 2003 and 2012 series). I wanna read the comics too to know Miyamato as a character too

Iiiiiim tired- i think ive gotten over my burnout? but i have been working slowly on some stuff

Reworking some things for my space au (it will now include all the boys+ april,,, eventually) i have a page for a comic sketched up, BUT i need to make a sort of prologue. This always happens where I wanna start the story just a little too far in lol

And im getting my tmnt iteration refs of the boys done- im going to get those done soon! Before applying to the quest au comp thing cuz it looks fun :] [sneak peak below]

Also the iteration name is probably gonna be Teenage Mutant Pizza Slingers- I was gonna go with Teenage Mutant Dirtbags, but ill save that for if I ever host the ttrpg I've been working on that these boys are NPCs for-,,, or should I keep the name since they are a part of that hmmm

Thinking about my rise oc Felix and how in the good future timeline he gains weight and transforms his Grandmother's shop into a cafe library (on top of selling the usual magical items it always has). It makes me so happy to see him have a good ending :,] and i love having a point of recovery be gaining weight. Like this fox is so so so stressed as a teen working multiple jobs and taking care of his sick grandmother AND having to deal with yknow the problems of being a teen while also being in love with two idiots but he can't allow himself the luxury of being in a relationship- let alone with two people.

LARGE INHALE- so he instead has to watch those two people he loves get into a relationship and he assumes that neither of them care about him anymroe so he becomes more distant. BUT its the opposite bc they both care and love him so much and just want to help but Felix is stubborn and has been doing EVERYTHING by himself for so long that he feels if he can't do everything alone then he's useless.

The two people are Leo and Usagi btw- it was just Felix and Leo at first but i keep seeing Leosagi and i do like that ship. also i see people put Usagi as a waiter at Heuso's so often and that is one of the jobs Felix has so he would end up meeting Usagi and then it just ended up turning into a polycule. Because i love polycules. theyre awesome. Also i do feel like Leo and Usagi would both have a crush on Felix first and see the other as a rival. There would be silly goofy plots of them both fighting over Felix. Then they both say fuck it and get to know each other- become friends and then- oh fuck they like each other now. They get together and then work together to help Felix (without the fox knowing bc even tho Felix says he doesn't need help the two of them are gonna help anyway ofc)
