16. What's your least favorite ship for this character?

Light Lawlight: If the fandom wouldn’t shove this ship down everyone’s throat on every possible occasion, I wouldn’t hate it so much. I still wouldn’t like this ship, but I think I would feel way more neutral about it. It’s so annoying when a fanfic is not tagged a Lawlight fic, and halfway through, it turns into one anyway, or Light thinks constantly about his past relationship with L and how much better everything was. I’m so tired of seeing Lawlight everywhere.

Moonriver: I don’t like Near at all. That’s one reason why I hate this ship. The other is their general dynamic. Even though I don’t like Lawlight, L and Light have at least a chemistry, which I find appealing for a ship. It’s a good mixture of rivalry and respect. I can see why people like it. Between Near and Light is only hatred. Yes, a ship doesn’t always have to make sense, but I need at least something appealing about it. And if it’s not the characters, then it has to be the dynamic. So, Moonriver doesn’t work for me whatsoever.

Misa Misa x Matsuda: They could be fun as friends, but as a couple, I hate them. I think the main reason is Matsuda’s behavior in the successor arc. Backstabbing Misa, when he gets all excited over Light cheating on her, was such a massive dick move. What makes this even worse is the fact that he was the only one of the Task Force members who seemed to like Misa before that. Aizawa openly disliked her. The others were more or less neutral, and even they found Matsuda’s reaction inappropriate. Not cool Matsuda, not cool.

Sightseeing dates! Walking hand in hand, enjoying casual conversations about anything, admiring the scenery around us, and stopping by a cute café for lunch...I love all of it.🥺💜💙

Masa-nui still has my heart (Kazu-nui cameo because they both come with me almost everywhere now-🫣💙❤️), but I got a Masato phone case recently and !!!! I LOVE IT!!😭💙💙💙💙

🌙- What sleeping arrangements do you have with your F/O?

Masato is typically the big spoon and I'm the little spoon! I often go to sleep much later than he does, so when I get in bed, he'll hug me from behind and we'll fall asleep like that-🥹💜💙

Raitobie is peak again, actually. I’ve done some drafting these past two days after a few things just dawned on me, and I am inspired and have finally have a crystal clear “main” plot I want to present as a proper source/reference material for me and Light’s relationship dynamics.

I have wanted people to be able to really READ about us from since dawn, but I have never been confident in my ability to write a finished work. I’ve got this in the bag, actually. A fic is officially in the works and my main project now ✍🏾📝🔥🤍🩶

And the best part is that I’ve had people telling me that some ideas and thoughts I have are so good that they wanted something completed from me to read, and the path I want to take makes them perfectly implementable 😏

Sometimes I feel self conscious about raitobie not being as good of a ship as we look…in the way that the appeal is that we are beautiful together aesthetically but kind of lacking in sauce and being boring because there’s not a lot of tension that comes with our contrast…

But I try to think that we are also different and stand out because it’s usually assumed that any ship that Light is in is going to be super toxic because he’s the common denominator. But my “specialty” amongst a cast full of skilled geniuses is that I am emotionally wise and sensitive.

Light doesn’t need to wear his mask with me because I receive his flaws with a level of kindness and empathy that maintains his dignity and humanity, even if I fear what he’s capable of in some contexts. And he has never had access to that sort of dynamic before since he wears that mask of perfection with pride and as a result, he feels inclined to treat me with gentleness in return because it feels like lending him actual strength instead of him being weak for once perhaps…🥺👉🏾👈🏾 🤍🩶

And I like to imagine that he insists that us being together is smart and sensible for his purposes but he’s actually just seeking comfort and companionship and not being forthright about it…idk…
