Rally Raid - Easter Eggs

Not a favourite TAG episodes for me, but it does have a few Easter Eggs!

1) Great Aunt Sylvia is mentioned along with the original FAB1, and the episode is dedicated to Sylvia Anderson.

2) The BR2 was part of the name of Alan's car in Move and You're Dead.

3) The race style is similar to Move and You're Dead, given the desert landscape and banging wheels.

4) Not a Thunderbirds Easter Egg, but the racing driver is "Mr Hunt". He's British with a posh accent and Parker acknowledges him to be quite loud etc. Although there's no physical resemblence this character seems to be modelled on James Hunt, who won the 1976 F1 championship.

5) The BR2 driver is stuck in the car and can't get out, and the car eventually explodes. Linked with 4) this seems like a further reference to 1976 and Niki Lauda being unable to escape his car without help from fellow drivers. His car had already exploded, but that wouldn't be acceptable kids tv. We never find out the BR2 driver's name, but I'd be intruiged to know if she had one in the original script.
