Ramadan Diary: Donations, Donations and Us
Assalamualaikum and good morning. I would like to write a short ramadan diary. In my opinion, the best donations are given when our heart is in full happy mood with good niat in our heart. When we are giving donations with good niat, Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala will give back to you abundance! Not just in form of money but in other forms such as unexpected free food, feeling easy to study, all your burdens are lighten and many more. I would like to quote from many common rich people quotes, "The more we give, the more we get," It is true! The more we give with good intentions, the more we get reward from Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala. SubhanAllah, Islam is beautiful. In my Facebook, many of friends had remind to increase our good deeds specially in sedeqah or donations, in the last ten nights of Ramadan. It makes me to think back. If we are so generous to donates in the last 10 nights of Ramadan, why this generosity disappears right after Syawal? Hence, we need to istiqamah or discipline. That's what Ramadan had taught me. Be discipline in doing any good cause or do ibadat. Not just only in Ramadan but continue doing so in other months. It is ok if we cannot big amount of donations but we must istiqamah. From what I have learned, sedeqah is not just in form of money. It is also comes in other forms, which are helping people, make people happy, talking by using good words, give food to our friends, helping our mom with house works, helping our dad repairing furniture's and many more. Go and make donations with good niat for good causes such as be a volunteer for pet centers, help poor people and many more. Let's help each other and we are making this world a better place to stay (*^▽^*)
Ramadan Diary: Days Thirteen and Fourteen
I haven’t left the house in two days. I don’t even care. Is that bad? Probably. So Tuesday was quite a bad day for me. I wasn’t feeling great about myself and I cried a lot. I watched Iron Man. I LOVE that film. That’s pretty much all I did… Other than laze around and go in the Internet… For dinner I had Shorba, this bread thing that I forget the name of (it has pesto in it) and prawn borek (spring rolls yo). We then watched Extracts (the film with Mila Kunis). I didn’t rate it very well.. Was a bit nothingy tbh. Aaaand todayyyy, aka the hottest day of the year in England, aka torture because I was having cramps and migraine symptoms and I couldn’t take my medicine, I was literally acting like a cat. Both my cats were just lying in any coolish spot they could find, and I was doing the same. Because my room is in the attic it becomes a sauna in the summer so I was barely up here. And yes, I know our definition of heatwave is very different to the U.S. and Australia, but cut us some slack, we’re used to quite cool weather, so 35+ degrees Celsius (90+ F) is like satans armpit for us. Today for dinner I had Shorba, these really soft homemade bread rolls (like cushions I promise), mini pizzas and some yummy salad. Which I ate like half of. Because salad is bae. But pizza is more bae. Then I had an ice lolly, some cake, and two cups of elderflower cordial with ice because it’s HOT. Oh and another of those bread rolls but toasted with butter and marmite. We watched Hanna tonight. I really liked it! Again a lot of unnecessary violence (#sadsies) but overall very good. Oh yeah I had a twix as well. Now it’s 2:24 a.m. on Thursday, and I have my fan on (which is making me thirsty and drying out my eyes, yay.) and I don’t see myself sleeping any time soon. Also I really miss Taylor. Idk. ALSO YAY I REACHED 1400 FOLLOWERS I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!
Ramadan Diary: Days Eleven & Twelve
Not very much has happened the last two days. I guess not eating is starting to take its toll on my body because I don't have any energy to do anything. Yesterday I slept until 3. I'm having trouble sleeping at night, which then means I end up sleeping the day away (and slowly roasting in my sauna of a bedroom). I'm trying to think if I did anything on Sunday and I got nothing so I'll move on. For dinner that day I had shorba, bread, this REALLY nice puff pastry tomato feta thing that my mum invented, and the neighbours were kind enough to send us some Pakistani food (it was ok, I prefer my sister in laws food though). Then I decided I was craving a thick strawberry shake so I dragged one of my sister out with me and walked to the dessert shop a few roads away. In my pyjamas. I didn't even care. I looked like a right tramp lol. When we got home we watched little Britain (FUNNY) and then went to bed. Monday I woke up at 11 o'clock and just lazed around watching telly and going on tumblr. Then at 4 o'clock me and mum went to go collect my youngest brother from his after school club. On the way back we stopped off at a grocery shop and bought a bunch of stuff like prawns and spring roll pastry sheets. I also begged mum to buy me a frozen pizza because I've been craving pizza for... Well let's face it I'm always craving pizza. For dinner we had shorba (yes as usual), bread rolls, and then mum roasted some veggies and halloumi. I'm not sure how I feel about halloumi. I quite like the texture but there's an after taste that's a bit ijbqjidbcqdibjc if that makes sense. For pudding mum invented a weird trifle/mahalabiya hybrid (mahalabiya is a sort of custard thing flavoured with rose water and usually served with nuts). It was really yummy. After that we watched Kick Ass, which was good and I liked it but there was a lot of unnecessary violence and stuff. Call me a wuss I don't like violence (she says even though she's watching GoT). Then I came upstairs to my bedroom and tried and failed to sleep. Now it's 4:07 and I can hear the birds chirping. Just another 18 hours until I can break my fast. Kill me now.
Ramadan Diary: Day Ten
One third of the way through hallelujah, praise da lawd. I thought it would be relatively easy but it's NOT ITS FKIN HARD OK. I'm in pain and a lil bit grouchy, so you know what that means *throws red glitter at you*, which also means my week off comes. Today I was a bit productive. I mean, I showered, cleaned my room a tiny bit and made a peanut butter and jelly cake. And that was just in the morning. I was at my brothers house for an hour and it was really fun cos everyone was hyper. Makes for weird conversations... When I got home I facetimed my friend for aaages. We had a 1989 dance party through the screen. And then for the rest of the day I CRIED OVER HYDE PARK I CANT EVEN BELIEVE THAT WAS REAL YOU GUYS. I WASNT THERE PHYSICALLY BUT I WAS THERE IN SPIRIT OKAY. Literally all my conversation with Debbie ( bad-blood-beat) was in caps. I'm so jealous in the nicest way possible if that makes sense. It looked insane?! Like EVERYONE was there. Seriously, if Taylor has a tour for her next album I'm 10000000% coming. Even if I have to sell my kidneys on the blackmarket. For dinner today I had shorba as usual. My mum forgot to put salt in the bread so it was a lil weird. Then for puddin we haaaaad that cake I made (PB&J) and strawberry and apple crumble which was DELICIOUS OKAY. Also I was fed up with skittles so I gave them to my brother... We started watching some Swedish film but I got bored and tired like twenty minutes in and came upstairs to ma room. I still have forty minutes to wait and I don't know if I can be arsed to stay up. I got barely any sleep last night ugh. If I disappear it means I'm asleep. PS. DIDNT TAYLORS SQUAD LOOK INCREDIBLE OMFG
Ramadan Diary: Day Nine
Ayooo, nearly a third done! Just another 20ish days.. So you know I said that today I was supposed to go out with my counsellor lady and my sister? Well I really didn't want to go and as luck would have it she couldn't make it. I don't know when it's rescheduled for but whatever. I went to go and visit my sister in law, and we were just chilling. Talking about chocolate and food. I told her that I was going to make a PB&J cake and she was really confused. Turns out she's never tried peanut butter and jam before. Or even heard of it for that matter. She told me to save her a slice of the cake. I'm going round to see her again tomorrow with my brother. We'll see how that pans out. Anyways, after I got home I fell asleep while watching masterchef with my sister. Oops. Also my cat scratched her eye so it looked like she was crying blood. She's not particularly well at the moment so my mum took her to the vet. I slept while they were out. Ooh! I received my paper airplane necklace today! It's a bit weird looking and not nearly as nice as taylors, but I do like it! For dinner today it was mostly leftovers. Shorba, bread, quiche and tandoori chicken and chips for my brothers. Needless to say I ate loads of chips. Me, my sister and my mum watched Resident Evil. It was quite good! I mean, the effects were a bit crap but then it was made in 2002... I liked the plot though. It's suhoor time now, so I can't have anything to eat or drink for another 21 hours. Boo hoo. Can't wait for my week off. Aight cheerio my luvs!
