Thanks y'all! Orange bow ties and purple sandals are mysteriously flexible wardrobe pieces.

Love Deep Space 9!
I always want Odo and Quark to have their own Odd Couple style spinoff.

I am kind of a trekkie, y'all. BONES 4 LYFE.
I recently started bike commuting and I cannot navigate bike paths to save my effing life.
I just finished a new novel! And I'm looking for beta readers! more info over here:
I think the most accurate word to describe my gender would be 'dandy'.
I am obsessed with Akira Kurosawa and own upwards of a dozen of his movies.
I REALLY VERY STRONGLY DISLIKE THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA.
Growing up, my dad worked at a living history ranch and my parents were heavily involved in renaissance festivals and historical re-enactments, which means that I spend easily have of my childhood and adolescence in full costume. Also I spent some time as a drama geek.
I played the french horn throughout high school and can play the bass.
I am flexi-vegan, which means I cook almost exclusively vegan food but will eat mostly whatever (though cheese gives me migraines).
I struggle with anxiety, depression and insomnia and work really hard to keep my mental health in good condition.

I love the term “soft butch" - & “low femme", too, which doesn’t get nearly enough usage as far as I’m concerned.
co-signed about low femme.
rambleready replied to your post: Hey, so first - oh my god, I adore every outfit I’ve ever seen on your blog. Second - how would one go about acquiring such a fabulous wardrobe? I want to update my look, but I have no idea how to do so without depleting my bank account and spending countless hours shopping, which is not exactly my favourite activity…
good advice, though I have waaaay too many clothes to even find what I’m looking for on any given day! I wanna learn to machine-sew so bad, esp. bc my partner has dwarfism & getting all those alterations adds up!
Oh, man, I feel that. I am pretty ruthless when purging my wardrobe which I do pretty regularly, but I also tend to just throw shit in my closet and then I can't find a single fucking thing. And if I do, I can't remember whether it's clean.
Machine sewing isn't that bad! There's a learning curve getting the basics of the machine itself down, but then it's pretty straightforward. I am a nerd and think about this stuff in terms of geometry. Like clothes are really just a series of planes configured in 3D space. The more you work with them, the more intuitive they get. I used to sew a lot but now I don't have the time for it. It's also not a very toddler compatible pastime. :(
