I don’t think a lot of DioJona/JonaDio shippers realise how much religious guilt the ship in general has.

Now, this isn’t about being historically accurate, and you can just simply take this post as a form of excuse to make DJD religious guilt, but the fact that i don’t see a lot of works with religious guilt is insane.

Like, people in the Victorian Era were so religious to the point where they were practically sexually repressed. And I think a lot of DJD fanfic authors/artists don’t take advantage of that fact since Phantom Blood is set in the 1880’s — the Victorian Period

Dude… the series AND the ship DioJona is (probably) older than you and half of the fandom because the manga started in 1981-ish. Plus, DioJona is one of the MOST popular Phantom Blood ships James, calm down you won’t die. The world is still spinning isn’t it?? ( ◠‿◠ )

(Some) Western JJBA fans will be telling people how weird it is for shippers to ship DioJona while the Eastern side of the fandom will show you the most gorgeous, breathtaking piece of DioJona artwork/fanfic that you’ve ever laid your eyes on

JJBA phantom blood au where everything is same except Dio grew up in the slums of Scotland, Glasgow instead of England, London. Of course Dio would move to England to the Joestars

Since both Jonathan and Dio have grew up in two different countries, Dio would have a Glaswegian accent instead of his usual Cockney accent, and since the Joestar mansion is in Manchester, Jonathan would have a Manchester accent

Just imagine a Scot and a British kid trying to talk to each other with their accents in the 1880’s, it would be so funny and I would love to see it
