saw someone say something so stupid ab common side effects so i will say one thing: common side effects is not saying that modern healthcare and medication is bad, no way in hell is it saying that. it's stance is that once life saving medicine and healthcare is made inaccessible for profit, that's where the issue lies. so often does the show point this out, like how frances' mom was at risk of being transferred from the care facility she was at because of insurance issues. like, i won't lie ! i was wary to watch this show, scared it would veer into harmful conspiracies, and if it DOES go that route, im gunna stop watching but i don't think it is. it's very much about how when health is made into a profitable industry, it hurts the people it's meant to help.

there's a scene in the most recent episode where frances talks to a scientist named kiki, and the show points out how the medicines that scientists make DO SAVE LIVES !! the show is not saying that medicine is BAD, it's saying that CORPORATIONS are bad.
