Life update

Hi hi

I'm gonna start by thanking you all for the recent surge in followers. It seems y'all really like Deltarune. I hope you'll stay for the other stuff too! Once my book publishing gets further; I want to introduce you all to that world properly!!

In much less fun news, my disability aid was cut off (Happy disability pride month 😬). I'm safe and working to appeal the decision with my support network, but it's still deeply upsetting and quite scary. The appeal process is likely to take a few months and even then it's not guaranteed to change the people-in-charge's minds, so I'm kind of scrambling to figure out what to do.

I was thinking of opening comissions, so let me know if that interests you guys, and if so: what kind? Want me to draw OCs? Comics? YCH? Again: I'm safe and have savings, I'm just exploring options. Don't worry about meee

I literally cannot overstate how much joy, calm, relief, and comfort it brings me to see normal, everyday older women. Just chilling, existing, having opinions and facial hairs and practical clothing and no makeup. Like just women getting interviewed in the street, in the background of photos, being consulted by investigative journalists about their area of expertise or personal experience, in libraries, grocery stores, politics, art exhibitions, everywhere. There's such a big difference between older women who appear both in media and everyday life compared to younger women, its feels so genuinely rare to see a young women not wearing make up, or with unplucked eyebrows, or without feminine accessories, or with mustache hairs or wild and unstyled hair and practical, weather appropriate clothing. And its also a relief to see older women who arent celebrities or actors or singers, who havent had face lifts and botox and their grey hairs dyed, who arent styled up to be fashionable and look younger, who arent covered in makeup and immaculately styled hair. I love media that depicts everyday people in general, but especially seeing older women who arent trying to be feminine and youthful, its very comforting. Fuck movies and tv-series and songs and magazine covers, they have nothing on reality.
