The Circus Twi Trauma Fic [that is in fact the name of the file]

^^^^ I have several questions

UNDERSTANDABLY SO!

okay this is an OLD lu wip, to the point that I almost didnt put it on the list. it was one of the first lu fics I started writing. I got the idea when I made a post abt how frequently twi almost drowned in fic, and someone responded by saying that twi is, arguably, one of the better links at swimming, but hes had several nasty run-ins with FIRE. I wanted to leverage this, and because I love the circus, and circuses can have acts with open flame, I thought that a circus would be a good setting. I also didnt want him to just SEE the fire, I wanted him involved with it. at first, it was just going to be an audience participation thing that twi's too nice to say no to. then I was like "oh wait he'd be really shaken up after that so he'd probably go for a run as wolfie to clear his head" and THEN I remembered that circuses ALSO can have wild animal acts, so I got the idea of the circus nabbing wolfie for their show and having him participate in the fire act and he has to get rescued because hes not emotionally in a state to rescue himself. anyways id like to finish this someday. here's a snippet that I really like.

“Dot and I used to go every year when we were kids. Her favorite was the trapeze, but I always liked the fire eaters best!”

Twilight smiles at the smithy’s enthusiasm. Four could be a very guarded person when it came to himself, and it was nice to see him talk about his childhood so freely, and with such open excitement. 

“They eat fire?” Wind asks. 

“I eat fire.”

“I heard that, Cub. Please don’t eat fire.”

“I’ve only ever been to the circus once, but I remember I was particularly impressed with the lion tamer,” Warriors says as he adjusts his scarf. 

“That surprises me, Captain,” Legend says with a smirk. 

“Hm?”

“Oh, I just always thought you were more of a clown man, that’s all.”
