do you know how insane and cool it would be if conformity gate was real and every episode after vol 1 was slowly deleted and replaced by the real episodes that took place? how wild it would be to be a part of that? and in 10 years when new fans join they’d have to search for the original 2nd & 3rd volumes and they’d never know just how crazy a majority of the fandom went together. it just works so well with the myriad of plot holes and the empty “happy” ending.
obviously i think it’s way too meta for the duffers and i doubt netflix would risk this much backlash and loss of revenue just for a secret last episode or a complete replacement of the second half of what was supposed to be the biggest finale ever.. but it is the best fan theory ive seen in years and i am eating this shit up whilst keeping my hopes in superhell
