im here to serve fucked up ryou headcanons

( except my version of ryou is real horror centered and only about his eternal suffering ) this list is probably controversial but ive made this man into my own character at this point and figure someone will enjoy

im diagnosing that man with APD but i need to do more research on it. serious inferiority complex

he attempted off the school roof once and seriously fucked up his legs since he landed on them. sometimes has to walk with crutches (also need to do more research on what kind of injury he would have) ( the only reason he landed on his legs is because yami possessed him in time to turn his body around like a cat so he wouldnt land on his head and die )

he dug up his dead sister at one point and keeps her in the spare bedroom of his apartment. real paranoid someone will find out. can accidentally hint at it cause he gets real defensive when discussing family

a lot of scratch marks on his arms and neck cause sometimes bugs like beetles or scarabs or flies will appear and crawl under his skin. im writing this one off as a Freaky symptom of carrying the Millennium Ring everywhere. its wacky creepy magic it doesnt need explanation. sometimes throws up bugs when hes real stressed

i project like a motherfucker ( hes a binge eater and has dermatillomania) but unlike me i think he would mostly have that on his hands like his nailbeds are always really messed up

sometimes local livestock goes missing. He steals their blood for fun rituals. got in trouble one time because he was spotted during it but his yami took care of it

hes figures if the "magic" in the ring is real, demons and angels are real, he prays and makes offerings to them and probably has made too many deals. he only makes them because 1. He wants his sister and his mother to come back or 2. he wants friends that don't die.

this one is old but; he has a pretty knife collection and likes to do fancy tricks with them. lots of accidental knicks on the fingers.

probably does five finger fillet at school while all the girls following him around tell him to stop

im on the fence about this one As in, he probably wouldn't Actually do this but would daydream about doing it ; he takes off parts of recently deceased girls and frankensteins them together to form what he thought his dead sister might look like if she were still alive

he has the most piercing horrific Green eyes but by the time he got to yugis school he started wearing brown contacts (that ones a Fun Fact one Because in season 0 he has green eyes, but in the anime he has brown eyes)

i think ryou has a great capacity for aggression mostly because of his yami and one day hes going to explode and cry and try to beat the shit out of yugi for abandoning him right after he gave up his life twice for him and his friends in a row...

just like he did in duelist kingdom i think he would just stalk yugi and his friends around their adventures when they dont invite him because he LITERALLY has NOTHING else to do and nothing to live for

when he gets too close to being able to pull the ring off his neck, it just melts/embeds itself under his skin. one time he tried to cut it out but then it just went under his abdominal wall and it really hurt so he gave up. quickly learned it was fruitless to try and take it off

apoligizing 4 not being around with ygo headcanons

+ other silly similar character stuff, mostly ahout ryou (caus hes my favorite little boy!)

ryou gets a little jealous of joey and his good relationship with his sister. because of ryou's own dead sister 💔, he sees a little bit of amane in serenity, but he tries not to think about it too much or he gets real sad real fast.

yami loves the beach and loves sand but yugi would rather go to a water park (hates sand) (sensory issues)

ryou has a small knife collection and can do a few tricks with them, yami bakura doesnt understand the concept of a knife not meant for stabbing. Thinks its Stupid

casual truth or dare game with the ygo gang but someone asks ryou for his biggest secret and its something along the lines of "i almost dug up my sisters corpse once" and everything goes silent

yami and grandpa should interact more. just like random interactions where yami has to clarify hes not yugi right now Which makes things only a little awkward.. but that wont stop grandpa from making late night snacks and yami happily eating them

bakura makes everyone watch old horror movies with him, and everytime someone dies he explains the practical fx they used for it in great detail (all the while joey is terrified) (but trying to hide it)

Yami would say "back in my day" and then proceed to describe 3000+ year old customs

yugi would try to get him to help with his history homework "Okay well sorry to disappoint but this was way before i died, that was way after- and also your textbooks are Very wrong"

escalators would make yami uneasy "Why do they move like that." despite this, he is completely fine with the dueling arenas with the booth things that go zhwoop

yugi owns demonias. for the height. yugi thinks theyre annoying to put on but yami will wear them every chance he gets cause he loves them as much as yugi

i still hc that bob killed people BEFORE the cult recruited him.. that was around the time he killd people, maybe even justified it by serving it 2 the customers at boys n grills (Hes GIVING to the community!) (in his own fucked up way...)

n he only developed the whole devil butcher persona thing After the cult...

before the cult, he actually took his time to cool and prep and carve and cook his victims, he was like.. the trope of a murderer that seems perfectly well adjusted on the outside. a murderer that apparently, even childrens parents would be fine with being in a picture WITH their kids!!! (which has always stuck out to me- he HAD to be semi well known as trustworthy in the community to be in that picture i think. The only other adult in it was mr wonder, who was different in that HE ACTUALLY had Children There!!) (if i remember that right!)

he proaly tried to justify his murders and probably was a nervous wreck on the inside .. but a silly southern gentleman on the outside
