( Today marks my 1000th daily comic so I made it an extra fun one with part of Rami’s backstory!! They’re easily my favourite new character from the DLC and I’m genuinely obsessed with the implications of the lore around them so more coming soon!!)

Rami, how did you lose an eye? ;(

(Finally finally finally I get to share this!! Rami's lore is FASCINATING and I think a lot of pieces of dialogue between Chazaq, Research Tablet 2, Rami's own reaction to them when you forge them, and what Kudaai says about the gauntlets tell us they were created by Rami, done with a lot of shame, suggesting they were forced by Marchosias to make them, and likely even held hostage given the line "you will be returned". On top of that if we look at Aniel's account of Rami, I've always found her word choice of "subdued" INCREDIBLY telling, because Marcho's weapons are essentially shock therapy gauntlets, and subdued would be a very fitting word to used on something like a dog you've "trained" with a shock collar. And when Rami reforges them for you they ask that you please take them away once they have, suggesting they're traumatized by their presence. Thus leading to my theory that not only Rami's eye, but their burns are a result of Marchosias and what he did to them, because fire isn't the only thing that can cause horrendous burns.)
