“Come to our rooms,” he said, standing next to her while she ignored him. “I want to read another poem from your brother’s collection.” “And why do you need me to read it?” she haughtily asked, taking another log and asking the wood to please shift into a narrow cylinder. “Your voice is pleasant.” Oh. Her annoyance melted in an instant. She sniffled, perfectly aware of how bright her blush was. “…Very well, my lord.” He chuckled, waiting for her. She wanted to keep ignoring him a little longer, but she knew his patience would soon run thin. She placed the completed targets far from the fire of the hearth and stood up, still pouting, but she didn’t really mean it, and he knew it. He took her hand without warning and together they headed towards their rooms. “Crazy wife,” he said. “Rude husband,” she answered back, sticking out her tongue at him. And he chuckled again.
I commissioned the kind @ramixha for a scene from my fic Irori!
Moriko received a noble's education, so she often reads the more complex parts of Heian literature to Sukuna and Uraume.
It's one of their favorite things to do together, especially because Sukuna (not so secretly) loves the way she explains stuff and the sound of her voice 😌
