The story of how Gram learned he was immune at the cost of losing his Best friend/lover

Gram pushed himself off the ground and saw the runner trying to attack Lucas, Gram instantly got up and grabbed the runner by the hair before taking his switchblade out and slitting the runner’s throat with the switchblade
There was silence for a few moments as Gram kicked the Runner’s corpse away “I think it's clear…” He mumbled with a sigh of relief “Gram-” Lucas paused, staring at Gram with wide eyes
“Gram, your arm” Lucas said causing Gram to look down at his arm where he saw that one of the several infected that chased them earlier had bitten him, He drops her switchblade and frantically wipes the blood away only to find the bite remains
“No. No, no, no, no, no!” Gram exclaimed looking over at Lucas who showed a nervous smile while he raised his left hand to show he got bit too, Gram froze and in a fit of rage, he kicked over a potted plant
“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!” He cried before collapsing on the ground next to Lucas “There's some more stuff over there you can break…” Lucas mumbled “… Wha- W-what are we gonna do?” Gram sniffled
Lucas hesitated “The way I see it, we got two options” He sighed searching through his pockets and pulling out his handgun “Option one. We take the easy way out, It's quick and painless” He told Gram
“I'm not a fan of option one…” He frowned, setting the handgun directly in front of them “Or Two. We fight” He chuckled “Fight for what? We're gonna turn into one of those things” Gram replied “There's a million ways we should’ve died before today. And a million ways we can die before tomorrow” Lucas said
“But we fight… for every second we get to spend with each other. Whether it’s two minutes Or two days, We don't give that up” He added “I don't want to give that up. My vote. Let’s just wait it out. You know, we can…be all poetic and just lose our minds together” He smiled
Gram was silent as he looked at Lucas’s smile then rested his head on Lucas’s shoulder while wiping away his tears…
Wanted to try and draw Luca. No this isn't meant to be romantic or anything, Gram is just easily embarrassed/flustered
I like to think that Luca would annoy Gram and try to get him out of his shell. since there aren't full bodies of Luca, I just made something up but I'll edit it once a full design comes out

Edit: I just realized how fruity I've been drawing Gram whenever he sits
Gram laid in his dorm sleeping unaware of somebody climbing thorugh his window leaning over him making clicker sounds causing Gram to wake up and punch whoever it was before grabbing his switchblade under his pillow
He stood up and pointed it at the culprit who laughed “Wha- Lucas?!” Gram exclaimed “Ow… I landed on my hip” Lucas chuckled pushing himself off the ground “What the hell? I thought i was bitten!” Gram replied
“I know… It was kinda awesome” Lucas said fixing his hair then looked at the switchblade Gram still held up “Your not gonna kill me are you?” He asked and Gram looked at the switch blade then put it back under his pillow
“I Havent seen you… in i dont even know how long” Gram mumbled “Forty-five days” Lucas told him “Well- forty-six technically” He added before a wave of silence went over the two “Wanna know what ive been up?” Lucas grinned
Gram stared at him “All this time- I thought you were dead” He said “Yeah…” Lucas looked away then fiddled with a pendant around his neck before taking it off and showing it to Gram “Here, Look”
Gram took the pendant and his eyes widened “No way…” staring at the pendant while Lucas looked around Gram’s room noticing the empty top bunk “Still no roommate? I had to sleep under Olivia for three years and her ass was up all night!” Lucas exclaimed
Gram ignored that and flipped over the pendant to see Lucas’s name on the other side “Your a firefly…” He said instantly running over to his bedroom door and checking outside for anyone nearby thankfully finding noone
“What are you doing?” “Im making sure i dont get caught with a firefly in my room”
“Relax. There are no soldiers on the entire floor” Lucas reassured him and Gram sighed taking Lucas’s hand and putting the pendant back “Congrats…” He grumbled “Hey- Are we cool?” Lucas asked
“Are we cool?” Gram scoffed pulling away from Lucas “I disappeared and your mad and i owe you an explanation” Lucas sighed “Lets get outta here and ill tell you all about it” He added moving towards the window
“Luca- Its almost morning and i have military drills. Yknow, where we learn how to kill fireflies?” Gram replied but Lucas rolled his eyes and threw a shirt at Gram “Put a shirt on, Lets go” Lucas said
Gram looked donw at the shirt he was currently wearing “Whats wrong with this?” “Noting, just wanted to see you shirtless” Lucas joked before climbing out the window “LUCAS!” Gram shouted grabbing his backpack and climbing out the window as well
“C’mon! When have we ever gotten into trouble?” Lucas snickered…
