So, lemme start by saying if I’m getting this wrong that’s my bad. However, I’m going off of the latin translation of Ancilla (a form of ancillam?) which got me
Hmmmmm. See, I’d kind of want to go something along the lines of ‘serving’ for this whole deal. Well, serving or sort of ‘cleaning up.’
A part of me would almost want to pull this as a sort of Ford and Bill dealio with basically Ford naively basically going about certain stuff for Bill. As in like - well a one shot where it’s like Bill keeps asking stuff of Ford like ‘heyyyy you dont mind getting your dear muse a goat, right? thataboy’ and each time it’s honestly some sort of red flag.
The only thing about that is that with the title I’d like it to be a sort of ‘over the course of time working on the portal becomes more a service to Bill than otherwise’ bUT that’s going a bit outside my range. Like it’s hard for me to imagine that Ford would get to a point where the portal was more for Bill rather than the actual scientific advancement itself.
However, I could def spin basically Bill abusing his status as a friend/muse to get Ford to do a bunch of stuff for him. I would probably do that as a sort of one shot of snippets.
Let’s see though.
I fEEL like I can utilize this ancillam theme better than that though.
OH OHHHHHHHOh - Oh, I LITERALLY just came up with an idea mid-typing this answer out.
Which, it’s not Stan twin-centric, but oh man.
A Pacifica fic.
A Pacifica fic surrounding not just the usual servants about the household, but it CULMINATING in showing how Pacifica herself is used as much a servant as the rest by her parents. Except while THEY are all servants for say cleaning and preparing food and fetching this or that - Pacifica is a servant of image.
Which is to say that her parents use Pacifica to uphold their image. By utilizing her young age and the many advancements that come with childhood they order Pacifica to take advantage of every occasion possible to make the Northwests look good.
2nd grade graduation? More like Pacifica steal the spotlight with these people that way someone will write about it in the paper and keep us relevant and ELEVATED.
This one? Oh, I’ll be honest - this one is a fic where I’d like the TRUE meaning of the title to only be realized later on. So, as a whole - this would actually be a Pacifica fic. Probably a 10 chapter-ish one too.
In general it’d be like a behind the scenes with Pacifica on the episodes with her WHILE filling in all the gaps with her own individual scenes. Such as say - her going to whatever isolated event on her own with only one of the servants.
I’d take care to try to keep a servant or two around Pacifica in the chapters and get SOME interaction with them - or at least show the sort of dynamic between the Northwests and the servants.
Then about three quarters of the way through is when I’d make a more concentrated effort to naturally show Pacifica being used by her parents as a tool / servant.
Of course that’d also work its way in anyways in early on chapters, but I’d have situations actually focused more around Pacifica’s dynamics with her parents in the later chapters.
Second to last chapter is the Northwest Mansion episode with close looks at Pacifica’s inner dialogues and basically skipping around a bit to try to not make a repeat of all the moments seen of Pacifica during the episode - bc personally I get v uncomfortable ‘rewriting’ scenes while keeping the same dialogue.
Last chapter then is when the ancillam theme comes in FULL blow - like it’s when Pacifica HERSELF realizes that her parents have just been utilizing her the same as any of the other servants.
And thusly Pacifica basically stepping out of that set of shackles as best she can - getting a job at Greasy’s diner.
Her parents have been ordering her whole life to do this or that so they’d get a good image (and that being the whole servant idea) - and NOW Pacifica is breaking in the exact opposite direction of what they’ve been ordering of her by being a ‘lowly worker at a dingy diner for poor people.’
Potentially there’d be more chapters between the mansion episode chapter and the finale with the diner - like a progression to make the finale happen AFTER weirdmageddon to make it more canon compliant, but the idea should be that after the northwest mansion is when she really starts figuring stuff out.

Good Bonus: Dipper and Mabel coming by the diner to casually talk to Pacifica and it just being a really nice moment.
