wool socks: what’s something you look forward to in fall?

Tis my favorite holiday! I’m not one of those crazies whodemands to celebrate Halloween before October, but when it is October my wholemonth revolves around Halloween prep: Find a couples costume to make, Decoratethe apartment, Watch Hocus Pocus and The Scarecrow, Binge watch Shitstorm ofScariness, Play Undead Nightmare, Plan/Attend a Costume Party, Buy Candy. It’sjust fun!

cozy blankets: where do you feel the most safe and at home?

This is gonna sound really sappy but I feel most safe and athome in my husband’s arms. I adore deep afternoon naps with him, watchingstupid shows on TV while snuggling on our giant pillow, and how he just holdsme through the night. He’s mastered the art of wrapping his arms around mytorso in which he calls “the seatbelt”.

 scarves: if you could only wear one outfit for the rest ofyour life what would it be?

Sports bra, nerdy graphic tank top, comfy shorts, blackjacket, black high-tops converse.wool socks

fuzzy boots: if you could live in any year/era, which wouldit be and why?

I hate to bore you but as a Mexican/Spanish/Native Americanwoman there aren’t really a lot of options for me to live a comfortable life inhistory. I’m actually really content living where I am now.

But if I had to choose, I think I’d pick somewhere between1400-1500 AD with my family’s Apache tribe. It’s a culture I’ve always been fascinatedwith and I think it gives me juuuust enough wiggle room before the white man showsup. ….Or so I think. I wasn’t a good history student.

Hobbies:  Roller derby, writing, baking, sass 

Books that I’m currently reading:  Terry Pratchett’s The Colour of Magic 

Favorite Book:  I don’t have a favorite book, but I’m a sucker for anything Emily Dickinson.  Favorite book series is probably the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.

Worse Thing You’ve Ever Eaten/Tasted:  Bile.  My stomach seems to have a knee-jerk reaction to anything and I’ve thrown up nothing but bile so many times... it’s the worst.

Favorite Place:  My favorites all tend to be changing with time, but for right now... Memorial Hall.  It’s the place where I skate for roller derby, and no place makes me feel more empowered, more supported, more motivated in this world.

Lavender, The Moon and Felines.

Lavender:Name something that relaxes you.

Hot bubble baths really do the trick. Just sinking into the water and putting on some sappy romance music is enough for me. I haven’t tried lighting candles while doing this but I hear it’s supposed to be good too. (Current living situation makes baths hard so I miss these.)

The Moon:What’s your favorite thing to do at night?

My favorite thing? I’ve never given it much thought and I’m usually a night owl. Hmmmmmmm…….. 

I guess I like doing my usual routine: cook dinner, watch TV/Netflix/YouTube, play video games, read, that sort of boring stuff. BUT I like doing it at like 12am or later. There’s more satisfaction in it I feel. I do any of these at 9pm and it’s like… meh. Is that weird?

Felines:Something that makes you feel better after a hard day?

Stripping down and wearing nothing but a XXL T-Shirt, making myself chocolate milk (or hot cocoa if it’s cold enough), and playing video games for at least 2 hours.

Oddly enough i just realized while writing this that I rarely do all 3 at once. I do at least two of them usually.

And I also realized the video game changes depending on how hard of the day I had. Not too bad? This calls for GTA V or RDR. Very tough day? I’d say Zoo Tycoon 2 or Sims 3.

WOTS ALL THIS THEN!?

Went to the Sherlock Holmes Exhibit Party at the museum this weekend in honor of @ramyakitty‘s birthday!  Sherlock/Victorian-themed costumes were strongly encouraged, so we pulled together some Tulio and Miguel inspired outfits in order to properly pick pockets rub elbows with the upper-class.

...Went rather well.  Only got chased off by Scotland Yard once!
