This is all my personal opinion, you don't have to listen to me. Just a little thing that annoys me.

Speaking as a Ranboo fan, and by that I mean I only miss a stream if I am forced to go to bed before the stream starts, I'm beginning to get a little annoyed at the louder minority of people that link everyone in the DSMP's lore to Ranboo.

I frequent a few other streams as well, most notably Tubbo and Foolish, though I've never missed a Tales episode and I've been there for each Quackity lore stream as well. And it's annoying when I see people from the chat I frequent most, linking everything to him.

Don't get me wrong, make your theories and everything. I'm not trying to stop that.

I'm mainly talking about the just spamming of "ranboo?" Or "it was ranboo!" In each of the other streamer's chats.

Y'know? Basic stream etiquette is to appreciate the content given to you, don't spam other creator's names in chat, that kind of deal.

Because, ranchat, you're lovely to read in ranboo's streams a lot of the time, but it's rather annoying in literally any other chat.

Once again, this is coming from someone who's main streamer is Ranboo.

And I love the theories outside of the streams! Seeing reasons as to why it could be ranboo is fantastic! Like, with the nuke thing in Tubbo's lore! I'm a strong believer in it being Ranboo because I'm a sucker for angst and it makes sense, but you have to realise that the spam is annoying and chat isn't canon in Tubbo's lore. He isn't gonna mention you during that lore bit.

Tubbo's character mainly uses chat opinions as a conscience type deal in decision making. And even then, he doesn't have to listen to chat's decisions.

Not to mention those who don't watch Ranboo are probably gonna be even more annoyed and will think all the fans are like that, which I know we aren't.

I'm a lurker, personally. I've never spoken in a streamer's chat, and I probably never will.

Just... I don't know what my goal for this was. It's just a personal nag of mine that ranchat gets spammy in any circumstance that has one mention of a link to Ranboo.

You do you at the end of the day. Personally, I'd like to read some of chat in between the streamer doing lore for reactions without it just being "Ranboo" spammed over and over.

Small update, but I fixed the formatting issues on ao3 which have been bothering me a bit. Now the text shouldn’t look as bunched together.

I’m also currently working on two crossover fics. One with Oregairu and the webtoon Random Chat, and Violet Evergarden and the movie Maquia: Where the Promised Flower Blooms. Hope you’re looking forward to it! I’ll post more about each once I have some more progress.

HOW TO MAKE A RANCHAT ACCOUNT *with pictures*

*Someone asked me how to sign up, so I am copying the response and posting it for other people who are curious*

"Um, you can't really choose exactly who you talk to, but I've noticed that if you sign up as a girl, you will only get guys to chat with. So I'm assuming if you sign up as a guy, you get to talk to girls. I haven't tested that yet though.

I speak VERY little Korean, and I don't normally have an issue. A lot of people speak/understand English, and I bet there are people who understand Mandarin.

I live in the USA, so foreigners can defiantly register! Here is the sign up and how it works: CLICK ME ^^

ID is your username, which I think only you can see. You must click the CHECK ID button before it will allow you to continue, this too me a while to figure out =.= Then you have your passwords and your gender, which are in English ^^ Nickname is just what you want to be called. Ex: I chose Hilz because my name is Hilary. I can't tell if anyone can actually see this... Anyways, then its your email for the confirmation letter and an intro, like "Hello" or something. Then click the accept box at the bottom and hit "Sign Up"

The box circled in lime green is your camera button, uncheck before starting to disable it. If you click it AFTER you click start, it will pause it and people will know you have one, just don't feel like using it. Circled in purple is the microphone. It works the same as above, so if you don't want to talk because of roommates, just uncheck the box before starting. Pink is your microphone volume.

When you are ready, hit the Start button which is circled in blue. This will also be the button you push if you want to skip over the person you are talking to currently.
