Introduction to the Writer

Hello! Welcome to anyone who’s made it here. If you’ve seen my original post about my Marigami and KagePro fanfics, you’ve made it to the right place. This is just going to be a short introduction about myself as a writer. You don’t necessarily need to read it, but I think it could be interesting. 

I’m currently a sophomore at New York University who plans to major in English literature on the creative writing track. I’ve been reading from a really young age, and I started writing a lot in high school on this site called Teen Ink, where I’ve gotten published and featured multiple times. I can link it if anyone’s interested, but I haven’t updated it in awhile. 

I’ve done all sorts of writing - reviews of games, movies, and books, newspaper articles for the school paper, poetry, short stories, and more. In high school, I did a lot of volunteering at the public library, wrote for the school paper, was co-editor of a high school literary magazine, and won several awards, including a national prize in junior year, in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. 

Fanfiction is fairly new to me - not necessarily because I haven’t written fanfic before (I also don’t read much fanfic as I feel it’d be a large time sink and I get easily hyperfixated) but I was pretty afraid of posting anything and seeming ooc. However, I thought I could do something new with my new projects, so I’ve put a bit more thought into my writing this time around, especially with organization (normally, I’m not very good at that if my main blog isn’t enough indication). 

In the meantime, I plan on giving links to some of my original work if you’d like to see my writing style, and will again, start posting excerpts and chapters soon. Let me know what works best for you, and thank you for your support!

Long time no update. I've graduated university and am looking for a job but I've begun writing for fun again. Currently working on a fic crossover for Discworld and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy which I think will have 3 major parts and a few minisodes set in different fictional universes.

Think I might make a kofi at some point if that's viable as well.

Small update, but I fixed the formatting issues on ao3 which have been bothering me a bit. Now the text shouldn’t look as bunched together.

I’m also currently working on two crossover fics. One with Oregairu and the webtoon Random Chat, and Violet Evergarden and the movie Maquia: Where the Promised Flower Blooms. Hope you’re looking forward to it! I’ll post more about each once I have some more progress.

New Projects

Now that I’m done with the two main fics I’ve started, I’m likely going to be working on a series of oneshots before committing to a longer, more high maintenance project. As of now, I think what I’ll mainly work on are two crack fics - one called Playing Hawkmoth for Miraculous Ladybug, and one is a crossover between Monthly Girls Nozaki kun and Ouran High School Host Club because I’m tired of waiting for a season 2 and I’m making my own chaotic content. 

Playing Hawkmoth is almost like the plot of Megamind in that Gabriel Agreste actually isn’t a terrible person and thought that they were just having a friendly rivalry. Completely believing that the heroes would always eventually swoop in and save the day, he’s been roleplaying a villain because he thought that it was a valuable way to spend time - akumatizing stressed individuals and allowing them a cathartic outlet for their emotions before the heroes would come. He also knows Adrien is Chat Noir and is playing up the neglectful father bit. He does care a lot about his son, and makes sure he never actually comes to harm (Again, AU where Gabriel Agreste is not in fact a terrible person. None of this is canon). Emilie is not sick and in his basement, and he’s not manipulating Nathalie. Lila’s not in this either. 

In Monthly Girls Host Club, the Nozaki kun gang visit Ouran Academy and shenanigans ensue. Kashima competes with Tamaki for the prince role, the twins help Seo terrorize Wakamatsu, Renge fangirls over Nozaki’s manga, Sakura and Haruhi bemoan how Nozaki and Tamaki are, and more. 

I’ll update with more ideas and work when I can. Since college has started, I probably won’t be able to be as consistent as I want to be, but I hope you all enjoy and look forward to my writing anyway. Thanks y’all!

It’s Up!

The Marigami / Kagaminette fic is now up, and complete! I’ve uploaded on both fanfiction.net and ao3 as jayru128. The title is Ryuko, Kuroneko, and Tentomushi, and I really hope you enjoy it! 

I’ve also uploaded the first part of my Kagepro fic which is titled The World Without You. Thank you for your support and go check it out! Let me know if there’s any issue with the formatting or anything like that - keep in mind, this is my first time using fanfiction sites, so please be kind!

Progress Report

I’m proud to say I’m almost done with the Marigami fic, and have a good amount of progress for the KagePro fic as well! The Marigami fic has about 6500 words so far, and I plan to have it end with Kagami joining the Miraculous class after a big fight with Hawkmoth and Mayura! More heroes will be involved. I may also have a dating epilogue including the results of a sparring match between Ladybug and Kagami’s mother. Hope you’re looking forward to it. I’m a little more than halfway done with the Kagepro fic, and I have many more fic ideas moving forward, thanks to a sudden explosion of inspiration around 3 am, so I don’t think I’ll run out of ideas anytime soon. I have at least 25 ideas listed, including many anime crossovers, Line Webtoons, novel series, and games. Let me know if you ever want to see more of my ideas! My next post will likely be about my fics finally being up, so see you then!

Okay, you've got me hooked with the Marigami one. Just as a precaution... I hope there's not going to be any salt stuff in it? Lord knows how sick a lot of Marigami fans are of seeing their ship getting used for spite.

Wow I’m excited to see more Marigami fans! You’re going to have to clarify what exactly you mean by salt, but if you mean completely shitting on canon out of sheer spite rather than just how much I love the dynamic, it’s not that. I will admit I’m not a fan of how the show handled Adrien and he won’t be super present in the fic, but all relationships will be handled healthily and respectfully. Thanks for your interest!

Fic stuff

So huh, I got more attention than I expected, so I’ll go through my ideas and general process. I’m planning on making a tag just for my writing and I’ll make a sideblog just for official update stuff since my main’ll be flooded with shitposts. I’ll keep that post pinned in case more people see it. 

My Kagerou Project fic is basically just me going hm… how do I make Shintaro suffer by making Ayano disappear again in the future? I wanted more future Mekakushi Dan shenanigans, and this is just an excuse for that pretty much. Basically Shintaro is a teacher in this universe, when he is suddenly transported to a timeline where no one remembers Ayano and she doesn’t exist. Neither does everyone’s abilities. Azami plays a bigger role in this. He’ll alternate between the two timelines to try to get everyone to remember and bring Ayano back. 

My Marigami fic is so fluffy and self indulgent. I didn’t want to write Adrien much so he’s now living with his cousin Felix de Vanily after Gabriel Agreste is charged with parental neglect. However, he hands his miraculous to Kagami, who meets Marinette and learns the ropes as Kuroneko, the new black cat holder. I’d like to have her join the miraculous class and have some fun kwami swap shenanigans. Also Lukadrien will happen because Adrien joins Luka’s band. There will be many tender fencing moments. 

Once I get further along, I’ll likely start posting consistently to fanfiction and AO3, but for now, I’ll be posting on this new sideblog, reblog everything I have so far, post some other writing I have, and maybe post some doodles and excerpts. Hope you’re looking forward to it!

So I don’t know how many of my followers are still active, but I thought I’d just mention that I’m working on two fics that I might actually publish publicly for once: a totally self indulgent Marigami fic for Miraculous Ladybug, and an angsty one for Kagerou Project. If anyone’s interested in seeing them, let me know. I’ll answer questions and talk a bit about the plot if this gets any attention.
