yaaaaa it's octoberrrrr maybe i'll actually do art regularly this year!
the inktober prompt was mustache and i also found the ranchtober prompt of pumpkin (i tend to find like. a dozen different prompt lists. and mix and match.) so i made mumbo into a pumpkin. and then added grian for funsies.
the lighter bits like around mumbo's eyes and for grian's hair are meant to be like how you can half-carve bits of a pumpkin to make them lighter without going all the way through? and then directly around is just how you can see the edges of the carved-out bits.
day 2 babyyyyyy uhhhh this one was weave for inktober (which i wasn't gonna do until marlene peer pressured me) (NEVER LET ME DRAW SOMETHING WOVEN AGAIN) and masks for ranchtober. yay.
literally every time i draw grian with a mask i do it differently. so he seemed like the right choice. i have an absurd amount of watcher grian headcanons (and also headcanons about literally every life series character. i'm dying.) that i've been compiling lately so. yeah

forgot to post day 4 rip. about to post day 5 anyways. well it's not exactly that i forgot so much as that i kind of hate it and didn't even take a picture of it until today but ehhhhh it exists so i should post it. inktober day 4 "murky" and ranchtober day 4 "siblings" combined into. idk. like the holy light of aeor shining on scott and covering xornoth I DON'T FUCKING KNOW. i brought out the watercolors for it for the first time in years though weewoo :) my lineart pen did bleed like hell. but that's fine.

yeah crown for inktober and fragment for ranchtober (i don't feel like finding the link rn). decided to do empires scott and give him a fragment of the uhhh the alinor horn things? so that's what he's holding
i kind of hate it but i got sick of working on it and perfectionism goes against the spirit of the month. so there it is
spent ages trying to figure out how to draw empires scott and eventually coming up with my own design sort of before realizing god fucking damn it i could have based it on the pins. lmao
