Writing advice from my uni teachers:

If your dialog feels flat, rewrite the scene pretending the characters cannot at any cost say exactly what they mean. No one says “I’m mad” but they can say it in 100 other ways.

Wrote a chapter but you dislike it? Rewrite it again from memory. That way you’re only remembering the main parts and can fill in extra details. My teacher who was a playwright literally writes every single script twice because of this.

Don’t overuse metaphors, or they lose their potency. Limit yourself.

Before you write your novel, write a page of anything from your characters POV so you can get their voice right. Do this for every main character introduced.

Sorry it took me so long to respond but THAT'S SO KIND!! I'm really glad you enjoyed all of my art! And yeah, I uh, I like a lot of things, I'm insatiable when it comes to stories XD I didn't want to do duplicates for the same fandom, so I had a nice variety and so I could contribute some art to all of the stories that have occupied my thoughts over the years. I've never actually finished inktober before, let alone posted all of it. The very positive responses I've gotten, yours included, were excellent motivators. Genuinely, this means a lot to me. Thank you for this incredibly nice ask, I've been thinking about it since it came in augh....
