Ok, so I just finished recording all these tracks for my remake of Graceland. This tune is the essential Paul Simon. The bassline on the track is so good, it really makes the song. And Paul's singing...dang. What to do next?

One thing I've started doing to increase my production (and music) knowledge is to re-record every part of some epic track I love. The first of this series is "Penny Lane" by the Beatles. I played all the parts with a midi keyboard in Kontakt and Live except for the vocals(why did I pick such an easy song?!). On technology from 20 years ago, this would have sounded like crap, but with today's techmology it sounds half way decent. This has been really really really fun to do. Next up, check back for Graceland...
