I started reading Randamoozham
It’s interesting to read the story of the Mahabharata from Bhima’s POV, because I never paid him much mind, except as the one who would eventually kill Duryodhana.
He seems so much more human in this story. Not merely a strong fighter.
And I’m really loving the dramatic irony of his interactions with Karna. He really doesn’t know or suspect their connection. And technically the narrative hasn’t revealed it yet. But of course I know it, and it adds some tension to the story.
They really look down on and disregard him for being a charioteer’s son.
Previously Duryadhan was my favorite character. Now I think it’s Karna. Strange how of all people, Bhima’s perspective is what made me appreciate Karna.
