so last night i had an ominous dream that contained mark “markiplier” fischbach and i actually dont know if it was actually the real him projecting into my mind or. God.

mark announced in a video that he’d be announcing the release date of iron lung soon and also i was in the same room talking to him while watching the video. he was in my kitchen and we were standing at the oven.

in the video, mark was walking outside in the winter field area but it wasn’t even snowing. cursive text appeared behind him as he talked. like an fucking motivational quote.

“i will announce the release date of iron lung in middle february and you must prepare. you could never prepare enough. i will kill you” — markiplier

and then the video ended. after i clicked off the video the conversation went like this

“wow” “Are you excited young one.” “yeah im pretty excited. my friends n i have waited very crazily” “All good things come to those who wait.” “what” “You must go. Wait. Once you forget, I will remind you.” “wait. mark. please tell me. what is this all for.” “Freedom.”

and then i woke up. what happened. mark????? i think this stopped being about the movie at some point

It made sense, I supposed, that Azriel alone had listened to her. The male who heard things others could not ... Perhaps he, too, had suffered as Elain had before he understood what gift he possessed.

I feel like people dismiss this when they talk about Azriel being Elain's "true mate" because he guessed what she was first.

As Feyre said, he probably went through something very similar when he was locked up. He probably kept hearing things and didn't know what to make of it. It wasn't until he learned the shadows songs that he understood what he was, a shadowsinger.

Elain kept hearing Vassa's scream. Like Azriel, she didn't know what to make of it. it would make sense for Azriel to guess what she was because he understands her situation.

This fandom ruined what could have been a great brotp.

But yeah, I get what you are saying. It's another example of sjm literally explaining to us why something happened, but they're all "I do not see it" and decide to make up a wild theory about fake mates. Sure, Jan.

In addition to Az identifying her power, not her problem, he also - and tbh I can't fault him for this because literally everyone in that scene does the same thing - immediately starts to think about how her powers will help them, rather than how they impact Elain. And then in that quote above, Feyre gives us a reason why he was able to figure it out. Ya know, besides the fact that he's a spy and being observant is his job. No random ass crack theory about fake mates and true mates required.
