It really fucking sucks that "land ships" and overland trains never took off as a concept. Just imagine what we could do with current technology. Like we have those gigantic mining dump trucks that can weigh over 500 tons loaded and over 300 tons of that is rocks, and that's including what has to be an extremely heavy bed that covers the entire top of the thing and has to withstand putting 300 tons of rocks in it and lifting them up to empty the truck. Imagine the kind of badass base on wheels you could make with this kind of technology.
