30 DAYS OF CALLIGRAPHY CHALLENGE
By @fuckyeahcalligraphy
Day 10: a follower’s blog name
I did a random draw of my most recent followers and @krizpossible was on the lucky number and here it is! I hope you like it, it’s not perfect, but maybe you will enjoy it. DM me if you want a better quality image.
Halloween Costume Contest is back!
I want to return to SATIM, that maybe even before the end of the year some stripes will start to appear, I don't know. I thought that Halloween was a good excuse to organize a contest - and a contest is a good way to re-introduce myself to SATIM. And since I just finished the Ink Demonth challenge doing crossovers - this year's theme is a crossover of my two favourite games!
Here are the rules:
Theme: I want you to draw or describe any character from SATIM (can be the main character, can be an OC - note, not from Samdy Kids, so the triplets don't count) in a Cult of the Lamb outfit. It may be a disguise as a character from that universe, it may be a reference, but not your OC - it is important to leave no doubt that it is about my SATIM and original Cult of the Lamb. Or, if you wish, you can dress a CotL character in a SATIM costume (I prefer the appearance of the CotL character in my version, i.e. Cult of the Wrath, but it doesn't have to be this way). Technique: any. You can draw, write, make a cutout, dress up yourself in a strange combination of two games or carve something into a pumpkin. Whatever you want!
Rating: the works will be rated in terms of idea, execution and matching the characters from Cult of the Lamb to the characters from SATIM.
Time: I give you exactly two weeks for this - so you have until November 5 this year.
Prizes: I will provide a full-colour drawing for the winner, containing up to 5 characters and any background. If there are a lot of entries (sure, my competition - and a lot of entries :/), it may turn out that I will award more than one prize.
Additional information: you can submit more than one entry if you have more ideas. You can also put several characters on one work (but there is a risk that weaker ideas will lower the overall score of the work, although I will try to rate each outfit separately).
Good luck and have fun to everyone who wants to participate!
Day 3 - Pride
Wrath, you had your five minutes on day one! Let Narinder has some fun!
I couldn't imagine anyone else representing Pride. My husband thought Kallamar would be a good fit too - but yet my Kallamar, while he was indeed very self-righteous and confident in his intelligence, also knew that Narinder was Shamura's favourite - and that made him always feel "worse brother".
I chose white as my pride colour - for many reasons… First, self-imposed: 'cause it is the colour of The One Who Waits' robes. Second - 'cause the white colour is a combination of all other colours. The white light contains the entire rainbow. Ha! The double meaning of the word Pride! And also 'cause white has always been associated with pride. The white colour at the wedding shows the purity of the bride - when everyone knows that she has already slept her soon-to-be husband. White colour as the colour of the afterworld, Heaven, where most people are convinced that they will go, although they are not saints… White colour is associated with the absence of sin, purity, modesty - that's why it is so… perverse as Pride, right? :3
By the way, have you noticed that of all the deadly sins, only Pride has both positive and negative meanings? I mean in English… In Polish we have two words: "duma" (e.g. pride in being oneself, pride in a child, etc.) and "pycha" (as conceit, arrogance, one of the deadly sins). "Pycha" also means that something is tasty, delicious (pyszne), just "yummy" - but that's a completely different thing X"D
Fun fact from my AU (couldn't miss it ;D): although Narinder's identity is kept secret in the village at first, he grows bolder over time, and finally ordering himself a robe like the one he wore in Limbo - and parading around in it whenever possible (usually then when he is not rushing with a broom, cleaning up poop after the followers).
Day 1 - Wrath :)
It was supposed to be a sketch, but I couldn't resist and made a lineart. And then I couldn't resist - not to make it a bit more interesting than just black and white. However, it's still a sloppy and really messy drawing - just like me.
Are you also annoyed when followers, having an almost empty outhouse, go to poop in the bushes?
Fun fact from my AU (Cult of the Wrath) canon: in the beginning, when Wrath was still a vessel and just learning how great power is in their hooves, they sometimes would kill their followers in a fit of rage. And I'm sure at least one died for shitting where they shouldn't have.
I have new shipping obsession :D
Yep. These are Sozo and Helob from Cult of the Lamb. Looking through the pictures related to the Cult of the Lamb, I found a few that make a pair from these two. At first I thought: yuck, it makes no sense. But then I started to wonder - and boom. The idea blossomed like a nettle flower in my head. The image above which is lined up will be coloured. And it will be in a moment!
And at the moment I'm seriously considering including this shipping in the canon of my AU.
A few words about my versions of Sozo and Helob. Be warned that there will be little spoilers about the storyline of my AU. You read at your own risk.
Today I was in the mood to draw my favourite bugs. More bug love!
Yes, Sozo is painted with henna. Yes, I can't draw chibis. I don't seem to understand a rule. As for the last picture… in case anyone didn't know, Helob doesn't bathe. Nor does he cut his hair. So painting his fur…
More Heket and Ratoo :)
I have a desire and vibes to draw youth of a heartless rat…
Ratoo and Ratau. After they both lost an eye, but before Ratoo lost his heart and Crown.
Ratoo turned out to be too thin and not so massive as he is, while Ratau is too massive and big… but whatever.
