I like to take random photos of the sky sometimes. Never showed these to anyone. But, I thought I'd like to share these instead of having them rot away in my phone.
I got my diagnosis, I updated my WIP and now I'm trying to fix my wife's 3D printer.
So.. I might have been bitten by the "cyberdeck" bug? Which, on this night, has led to me taking apart a CASIO T-880 I found at the charity shop and, upon finding an HDMI to RCA adapter, putting it back together.
Because I might be able to just wire this together rather than asking Rocket to solder anything.
Tech stuff
The replacement screen for the 3D printer arrived this afternoon. My new desk lamp was very helpful as I popped panels off and plugged in the new screen cable.
Didn't quite manage to get the whole thing screwed back together (the screen unit isn't affixed to the bracket) but Rocket had DnD starting, so I tabled the rest for tomorrow.
In other news, Rocket thinks I should make a zine about building my cyberdeck.
Now with Keychron keyboard from Rocket.
It's working.
Five days and lots of tinkering later, we have a working 3D printer.
Last two things we did: popped open the nozzle kit and straightened the nozzle itself (over-tightened, 3mm elevated to the right). Used the paper method to level the bed.
Currently, it's printing the frame for the 4.3 inch LCD for my cyberdeck (if I choose to use it -- I've grown very fond of my acrylic board-foam-core-salvaged Otter Box creation).
I'm just stoked to get it working.
