Random limericks - today's prompt rapid

Everyone was shocked at how rapid he did fall After a week he didn't answer text or call As one month neared He disappeared And through the underground he was learning to crawl

John wasn't as dumb as most took him to be Before the funeral, he began to see His own plan he laid and wasn't afraid His acting skills ended up being the key

Mycroft and Sherlock had thought they were bad But John fooled everyone, all thought him mad More brawn then brain Got there the same Sherlock and John are both in Trinidad

See, like the army John rose through the ranks Guarding the higher ups with gun and shanks Quiet and steady and always ready A trip to Trinidad to express thanks

Sherlock was flabbergasted to say the least As John entered and made his captors deceased "John? how are you here? "Not now, the way's clear" They hear an alarm sound as they head northeast

Paper, ribbons, glitter, paints, markers, tubes, and glue Crafting supplies galore for Rosie to dig through A day full of fun Nana number one Relieved dads know a special gift to her is due

Random limericks - Today's prompt Bake

John returns to find the kitchen a mess The place covered in flour to excess Splashing draws him to Baker Street’s loo There he locates his husband in distress

Sherlock is covered in flour from head to toe Rosie in the bath, splashing water to and fro They tried to bake John’s favorite cake John’s laughter starts out quiet but begins to grow

“Daddy!” Rosie yells splashing more water about “John you can’t be home yet,” Sherlock turns and does pout “We wanted to Surprise you,” John says around his giggles “You did, have no doubt.”

John begs, "Sherlock, Love, you need to promise me. If I don't return, you'll live your life drug free." "I promise, I will But you'll come home still. No doubt you'll return to me, just wait and see."

"I can't promise that but know this is true I will do my best to return to you." They shared one last kiss Each other they'll miss Then a letter that tore him through and through

John was MIA, Sherlock's world shattered Barely surviving, mind and heart tattered Mycroft had no choice and did not rejoice His brother's safety was all that mattered

A psy evaluation was called for Sherlock didn't care, just sat on the floor The door opened wide His John stepped inside Light and love filled his life and soul once more

His hand tightens as he tries to hide it The bloody tremor that forced him to quit His career over and not a soldier struggling more then he'd like to admit

Then one day in the park an old friend he meets Mike Stamford takes him through their old uni suites It was there he found His life turned around "The address is 221B Baker Street"

Random limericks - Today's prompt Head.

Warning: I imply strongly, yeah, John gets shot in the head so hurt and angst but happy ending.

A flash then there was instant pain in his head He touched his hair and his hand came away red Is he lying down Darkness all around Hadn't he been following where Sherlock led

He now wishes he listened to John's warning "We need to wait for backup in the morning." He rolled the dice John paid the price Will all he have left be regrets and mourning

Sherlock sits at John's bedside for two full days People coming and going, its all a haze He whispers John Please you must hold on But silent and still, his friend...partner...love stays

John slowly wakes and to his surprise he sees Sherlock sleeping besides him but not at ease Their hands are clasped 'Sherlock" he rasped Sherlock opens his eyes and feels his heart seize

John is alive, alive and he's awake "I'm sorry, don't leave me or I will break. I love you so God, please, don't go." "I'll never leave, I love you too," tears flow

Random limericks: Today's prompt One more thing. Ended up a two parter.

Sherlock's POV:

Slamming the door in anger, John left him alone

He had done it this time, their time together flown

The fight had been loud

Both men way too proud

Was this the end? Sherlock’s thoughts swirled like a cyclone

John’s POV:

John returned in the early morning hours

His hands full of a bunch of wildflowers

Only one more thing to say

If he is allowed to stay

You madman, I love you and this life of ours
