I leaned more towards the female only monster idea with this redesign. Jynx's history is not ideal to take inspiration from so I did the safe option. Considering the only change to the typing was dragon, I wanted something ferocious. While it is a bit of a stretch, I loved the harpy idea. A cold calculating terror bird, ferocious and beautiful. My favorite part of the design is her feathered collar. I think it really adds a lot of character to the design to hide her mouth like that.

I sat on the beta version of this design for soooooo long. I really pushed that design and it was spooky, maybe even scary, but it felt so NOT pokemon. I knew that was the idea I was going for but I just couldn't bring myself to post it. I eventually caved and re-worked the design, pulling more shapes from scyther and it helped alot! The colors also just work so well. I'm a little sad I had to back track on my almost unlimited creative freedom but I think the results speak for themselves. Some times it's okay to fall back to something familiar.

The Harpie Pokemon
"It's short wings and low stamina make them poor fliers. These pokemon are fierce opponents in a pack but lack power when alone."

Caught a Psychic/Bug Togepi and a Poison/Flying Geodude
Togepi was a difficult one but based them on a baby moth in a silk cocoon
