my story: The Cyanide Legacy

I usually try to add everything that has significance to the story, but here goes!

1. Fred's sister Natasha is an adjunct professor of sociology at the University of San Myshuno. She got her PhD (full scholarship) from Windenburg University, which is the same school that Jane Linde, Heaven Patel and Dharshini Datta got accepted into.

2. Most of the worlds/neighbourhoods are interconnected via subterranean trains. The easternmost station is San Myshuno, which is the sim-equivalent of Singapore. The westernmost is Oasis Springs, one stop after Del Sol. Sims headed to Strangerville have to get off here, then take a coach bus to the isolated town. For Sulani, sims take the ferry there from San Myshuno.

3. There are two realms: the realm of the living, which is all the worlds that the sims live in, and the spirit realm (a.k.a. The Nether). We saw a glimpse of The Nether when the Grim Reaper bound Minerva Reaper's powers. The realm of the living is Patchy's domain, as custodian of the power of life. The Nether is the Grim Reaper's stronghold, and his descendents are all born with the ability to freely travel physically between these two - sometimes astral project, like Artemis did on Friday night/Saturday morning. But the Grim Reaper does not let his descendents know about this gift until they join him in the Nether, to avoid it being abused. Because the two realms aren't completely tethered to each other, some might be tempted to use The Nether as a shortcut to get to somewhere in the living realm quickly, or to bypass obstacles. And who knows what could happen if a ghost saw you taking shortcuts and decided to stick close to you so they could escape from The Nether.

4. The Grim Reaper and Patchy the Scarecrow aren't omniscient or omnipotent. They have their weaknesses, which can (or may 😉) be exploited.

5. Multiple universes exist, and the Grim Reaper and Patchy are custodians of this one. As it turns out, Fred's essence isn't from this universe, and he is being followed by someone from another universe - a character from @izayoichan's upcoming story! To these sims, these are alternate universes, but to us Watchers they are saves/save files.

1. Robert and Maci were not having an affair, although they had been in contact with each other frequently during Nadine’s recuperation. Maci acted as a business liaison for Robert while he and Nadine were in Selvadorado to help keep him updated on what was going on within the industry. 

2. During Nadine’s concert, Robert and Maci were discussing the possibility of hiring Maci full time as Nadine’s private stylist. Their whole relationship revolved around Nadine and her career. There was absolutely nothing romantic going on between them...although Nadine guessed that there might have been. 

3. Robert married Maci two years after Nadine left. They are still married, but it’s more of a business arrangement than a marriage for love. They have an open relationship.

4. Nadine decided to break her engagement to Robert because she wanted a clean break from the industry. She knew that as long as she was engaged or later married to him, she’d still be exposed to all the things she could no longer relate to as an entertainer.  

5. Nadine received a very big settlement for the stage accident that permanently scarred her face. She was able to buy her current home in cash and has been able to live off of the money since then. All money received as a foster parent is saved and placed in accounts for the children that she cares for so that they’ll have money to start out with once they become young adults.

1. My legacy story was always meant to take place in/after the Mass Effect (1-3; We’re going to ignore Andromeda...) universe:

The above was from Sept. 2015 (https://streetlightaurora.tumblr.com/post/129546541904/something-that-i-was-working-on-but-have-since )! ...Except I didn’t have the CC or the photoshop ability (also how much of a pita it is to set anything up) to pull it off back then so I shelved it. Emilia was supposed to be the BIG SPACE BAD BITCH but I had to settle for Earth. Since that point, Fault Lines is still based within that universe but I’ve been taking liberties with biotic abilities, mixing in other lore from shows/games that I like. EX: Physiology differences between Spacers and Earth Born (The Expanse Belter v Earther - not that it has been mentioned yet.) with Colonists differing depending on the gravity of their home planet. There were slight nods to Mass Effect throughout Emilia’s story, but nothing overt because Emilia. Does. Not. Care. About. Anything. But. Emilia.

It also takes place 2-3 generations after The War. And it helps me to explain the long life spans I use in game. XD

2. Abram is the official heir of the legacy, but my heart is with Alex - I’d write more but I’m too busy cackling and rubbing my hands together. It also ties in with Gen 9, which I’ve already started writing bits about - it’s ridiculous because I’m nowhere near that point.

3. The Volkov Family’s main legal income source comes from their logistics empire - did you order something online? The Volkovs were involved at moving it at some point in the chain. They also own large swaths of Windenburg and Newcrest due to their ancestors profiteering after The Reaper War - Emilia’s Grandmother mentions it briefly as well as Yulian’s Grandfather (https://streetlightaurora.tumblr.com/post/184611932304/when-i-was-a-boy-my-uncles-would-joke-that-our and https://streetlightaurora.tumblr.com/post/177437835089/i-wasnt-like-your-grandfather-my-experience). But not included in their wealth is what they don’t report: Arms dealing and drug smuggling. Snort a line? Volkovs brought that shit in.

4. I consider Fault Lines somewhat based in @josiesimblr Holmes’ world. The Volkovs are friendly to Allison and Nico Holmes - though I wouldn’t say they are exceptionally close. Yulian tried to poach Daniel (https://josiesimblr.tumblr.com/post/175446960324/when-margaux-leaves-daniel-heads-to-his-computer) and he wouldn’t hesitate to edge out the Holmes in business - though he expects the same from them. Both families share a ‘trust no one but family’ attitude.

5. Even though Abram is the heir, Vera will probably feature more this go around. Mostly because I’m more excited about Vera’s story and that’s who I want to focus on. Abram is kind of a boring character to me - he’s mean and selfish, much like his mother. And through what I’ve written for him, that’s how he stays - a big, sloppy douche.

Okay well first of all I’m very flattered that anyone considers my Bacc as a story :P , also my sims do not have the juicy, drama filled lives of treason’s, they only just got roads! Under the cut because it got looooonnnng

1. Weston is a total audiophile, he just eats up music, but because of the closed nature of the town, the latest bands he knows are from the 90′s. He always wished to be a drummer when he grew up, but never had access to a drumkit poor guy

2. Sometimes Halle Anne finds herself daydreaming about not having any kids, lying on a beach next to a very handsome man who, she is ashamed to admit, is not Weston. Sometimes the daydreams involve a lot more than just lying on the beach with the handsome man. The man is different all the time, but most often he, she is even more ashamed to admit, is Jordan :O Jordan hasn’t given her so much as a second look since he started being serious with Niamh, but Hallie can’t even talk to him or about him without her face getting hot and a flush creeping up her chest and neck.

3.  Niamh sometimes talks at night to her Aunt Kayla. She always saw Kayla as more of a parent than her real parents anyway. She alternates between indifference and hate towards Siobhan, she loves Franklin, but he always seemed more like a best friend than a dad, and she finds that when anything important is happening in her life, the person she want to talk to most is the one she can’t, but she does it anyway. Sometimes she goes to Kayla’s grave, but mostly it’s just when she’s in bed at night. No one noticed when she lived at ‘home’, it weirded Jordan out a bit at first, but now he’s used to it and sometimes joins in as well.

4. Dean is probably one of my darkest sims. He likes the prestige of belonging to the mayor’s family, but he wishes that he was the mayor rather than Lauren. He’s not a big fan of strong, independant women, which is the majority of the town. Having a daughter hasn’t changed his opinion of that and Imogen will unfortunately find that out as she becomes a teenager.

5. There has been someone killing sims in town, only townies so far. I don’t even know who it is yet...

Ps: I will answer   for the Quirrell Legacy only. Not sure if am doing this right or wrong. You can ask more detailed questions if you want too anytime :)

 The Quirrell Legacy will be a Strict Equality Legacy : Meaning I will be having five female  and five male heirs. I always do stric equality in my legacies if I can , the only exeption is for the Random Legacy with the first born biological child being the heir.

It's the most story based legacy and the longest one to make posts for. But I believe once the triplets age up and Ava's generation is done , it will go a lot quicker.

 This might sound weird and contradicts the second fact  , but I don't do a lot of writing for the Quirrell Legacy. I have guidelines that I follow. Only when I think it’s a really importent moment I spend time and write dialogue  before hand , like Cassiopeia’s confessing her love for Ava and the nightmare scene.

All of the triplets names has something to do with The Gryffindor house.

Llewellyn means Leader or Lion-like.

Emmersyn means Brave

Prewitt means little brave one.

Here is a bonus fact: Emmersyn was almost named Theona , a name that I adore but found it unfitting the name theme , so I might use it for another sim in the future.

I'm still looking for Hufflepuff inspired names though.

The death of Julian Hopper was an extrem accident , since he was never supposed to die.  I knew about the Haunting Curse could kill sims if it failed, but I thought it was a small chance like with the jelly bean death. I wanted him to continue being  the antagonist , but his death have brought  new opportunities for storytelling.

I was tagged by: No one. I just saw @sixamsims do this and even though I’m not really a story simblr, Karo and Aramair are from a story I’ve been writing with a friend for six years, and I like sharing things about it (even when no one asks me to lol)

1. Karo is older than Aramair by about 10 years and she absolutely hates her birthday. Up until she met Aramair, she saw her birthday as a frivolous event that only served to remind her of the lack of friends she had to celebrate with (she was in self-exile for a number of years). Now she lets Aramair lavish her with attention and is beginning to enjoy it again.

2. Aramair has very little memory of who he was prior to meeting Karo. Every so often in their travels, he’ll rediscover a memory and will write it in a journal Karo got him. Often its something simple like a lesson he had learned from his late mother, or a book he had read in between sword practices. But at the beginning of their travels, he had discovered he was highborn... though, that doesn’t mean much when a dragon wiped out his entire city, and to his knowledge, the people as well.

3. Karo has a semi-functioning moral compass. Most times, Aramair will act as her guide on what is right and wrong, but there are times when he just lets it happen regardless because... he thinks its funny and treats it as a lesson for her if it goes very, very wrong.

4. Karo is functionally illiterate in Common language. She can speak it, with varying degrees of difficulty the more formal it becomes, but reading and writing are still very difficult for her. Aramair dedicates every other afternoon and evening to teaching her Common, much to her displeasure because she’d rather be drinking.

5. Aramair is fully aware that Karo had every intention of keeping (or selling) him as a slave when she first found him stranded in the middle of the desert. She was not in a good place, to put it lightly, and he doesn’t blame her. Without realizing her plans at the time, he gave her the choice to escape that life, which was not something she had been given before. In their plans to get away, they began to care for each other and ended up with an inseparable bond.
