I've been playing BG3 a ton since release, like many people, and one thing I'll ever get over is how the companions look after a particularly hard battle. For example, here's Astarion after he clutched the Ansur fight for me after the dragon killed myself and Wyll in one hit.

Mans looks like he summoned 6 ghouls, kept a feckin' dragon off of Gale (who only had 2 hp left to his name), was downed and then healed with the saddest excuse of a health potion known to man (thrown by Gale in a desperate attempt to not have to reload), only to then hope that Gale manages to banish Ansur, with a 2% chance to hit, for a round so he can position himself with his remaining 3 ghouls to get sneak attack damage.

Just look at him back there. Suffering.

Then there's Gale.

Good thing he landed that 2% chance banish because there's no excuse for him to look this untouched after everything Astarion went through to keep his ass alive.

My cousin asked me for drawing advice for her kid today and one of the things I said to tell her was to not give up. It reminded me of my 2013 self. 2013 me had given up for about a year and would have killed to draw even half as well as 2019 me. Even if it was 2019 me’s sketches. 

Present-day me is really glad that I came back to art sometime in 2014, even if I’m still not pleased with a lot of what I draw. Art is hard, but the slumps are only temporary. If only 2013 me knew what they would be able to accomplish in 6 years!

This is my dog Franky.

Franky is a female St. Bernard.

Franky is named after this guy.

I was wanting to get a male puppy but the breeders only had female puppies left. So, I picked her up and decided to still name her Franky, thinking nothing of it.

For the almost three years that I've had her, everyone thinks she's a boy because of her size, the movie Beethoven and because her name is Franky.

As soon as they find out she's a girl, she's now Frankie. While it doesn't bother me, it does surprise me when stuff like this happens.

I typed her name up in the message above buddy. It's right there, not even 2 messages above yours. 😂

Unbeknownst to her, everyday for her almost 3 years of life, she's challenging the concept of gender norms for names all because I named her after a male anime character and decided not to change the spelling to the feminine standard. The amount of times I've watched people pause when they realize that she has a "boy" name. She's dog. She doesn't know the concept of spelling. To her, her name is "Bebe Girls".

Anyway, this is my dog. Franky.

After years of trying to get me to play FFXIV, a combination of my friend and Tiktok finally made me cave and download the free trial. Now, I know I made my dude a little taller than the standard of his race, but I have never seen a game cut off the MC’s head in a cutscene within the first 10 minutes. 😂 Needless to say I’m enjoying the game and if any of you are in the Primal DC, specifically Famfrit and see a Balun Duras aimlessly wander by, that’s me! You may see me on Chaos’s, Moogle as well.

I own a big dog, right? I'm also a single lady, living alone with said big dog in a rural farming town. So, it's to be expected that many people would assume I can't handle my big dog. (My left arm grip strength would beg to differ.) Especially since she is reactive to men and I don't correct her for it since I do like that the men backoff once she starts barking at them. But it does get a bit on my nerves when men try to give her a command when she is heightened and then look at me and say, "You didn't teach her sit?" Like, sir, she doesn't know you, she's telling you to backoff and you expect her to listen to you? No, she's not going to sit.

Anyway, no, I haven't trained my dog at all.

As an owner of a giant breed dog, I forget how big my dog is all the time because I see her 24/7. It's not until other adults go, "Wow, he's so big." that I then sit back and remember. It's also moments when I try to take a photo of Franky and myself and see that her paw is half the size of my face and I go, "Ah...yah, she's big."

In my defense, she was on the smallest end of the size chart for all her checkups. She didn't really hit a growth spurt until 9-10 months. She just turned 1 a month ago.
