💘: who developed a crush on the other first? -- Ooh, good question. I’d say MacCready, because Deacon would immediately squash down any feelings that popped up as soon as they came around. MacCready would deny it of course,  but I think he’d be first to get crushed.

💕: who is more likely to make huge declarations of love in front of other people? -- probably also MacCready. There was a great moment in @electricshoebox‘s fic A Line in the Sand where Deacon says something like “I’ve got nothing to lose” and MacCready gets PISSED and shows him exactly what he’s got to lose. (And i cried.)

💛: who believes in soulmates? -- idk, they’re both pretty cynical people. They probably both think they’ve already found and lost their soulmates. IDK how soulmate AUs usually work, (with like can you have more than one soulmate? What happens if you soulmate dies, etc.) so I’m not sure.

❤: who is more affectionate in public? in private? -- I think they’d keep PDA on the DL, because Deacon is paranoid. Once they’re alone though? They can’t keep their hands off of each other.

this is just a oneshot but goddamn i can’t wait to see more of jackie. she and eddie have bennyfucker solidarity. we love that, we fuckin love benny gecko in this house. jackie is a rly cool character, just in this oneshot alone she has so many conflicting feelings abt benny, and we love it when bennyfuckers are written with a lot of depth. we fuckin love it, guys. the writing is baller. everything about this is gr8 and i really hope i’ll see more of jackie soon!

For favorite line Friday: She can see the ground, can see it coming up to greet her, but something is keeping her from feeling panic or fear - and when she hits the ground she doesn’t hear the sickening sound of her body splattering on the rocks below, nor does she feel her bones breaking apart.

oh this is SUCH a cool way to introduce that fact that a protagonist has powers or isn’t entirely human, both for the audience AND for the protagonist! I’m so interested in what comes after this, how she reacts, her emotional state, what her theories are--it sounds like she’s going to be one confused gal!

Currently reading: Tokyo Vice by Jake Adelstein (a weird pick for me, a bit outside of my comfort zone - inspired by a Tumblr post I read about a journalist - the author - getting actual members of the Yakuza to test-play the Yakuza 3 video game).

Currently watching: Nothing really in particular. The Harley Quinn Animated Series once a week when the new episodes post online.

Currently consuming: idk if this means food or media, but I did just have an ice cream bar if that counts.

Food I’m craving right now: Huh. I’m hungry, but I don’t really know what for. If you could put any food down in front of me right now, I’d go with like...a steak or something.

If you’re still doing the courier first impression, how would your courier react to Riley?

Rosa would want to know who was the courier that got fucked over. She had heard it was a redhead girl alright, but her senses told her she could mean so much more to the whole situation she was already on. 

Clues led her back to the NCR Outpost. As soon as the doors to the barracks were open, there was no denial she had found who she was looking for. 

“You Riley?” was the first thing Rosa asked as she seated herself next to the younger-looking girl. She could see youth written all over the redhead although a layer of dust and scratches covered her skin. On her forehead, a distinctive scar of her encounter. Benny’d better start shooting right or else he’d have a line up of problems. Rosa saw herself a few years back, a blurry vision of a past she didn’t quite remember, but Riley’s spirit was one she could resonate with.

“Depends on who’s asking“ 

Rosa snorted “name’s Rosa. I’m here ‘bout a score I’m afraid you’d like to settle with a cert’n man. Interested?"

Her eyes shone with the words and her hand stinctively reached for her gun. Visibly excited at the prospect of putting the man who screwed her over down. Rosa immediately liked her response. They talked about their similarities and more so about how they were doing just fine before someone threw them into a hurricane of problems they didn’t need. 

Riley took a final swing of whatever she was having, wincing at the liquid. Rosa smiled “where we headed?”

How I feel about this character: 

Carrington is great. I love that he’s an asshole, because he’s an efficient asshole. His role in the Railroad is a much needed one - while yes, on its face the organization seems like a collective of bleeding hearts, being an organization of spies and saboteurs requires some really, really hard decisions to be made. Worse than a military organization would have to face, because the people you’re sacrificing aren’t soldiers who know what they signed up for. Sometimes it’s civilians, sometimes it’s very old friends.

All the people I ship romantically with this character:

I actually imagine Carrington as ace/aro. I feel like the man is married to his work and doesn’t really care to bother with pleasantries or the whole romance dance. Man just wants to get shit done.

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

Dez + Carrington are the dream team that help bring the Railroad to success (if Sole doesn’t go BoS/Institute and ruin everything). I feel like Dez is more people-oriented and balances out Carrington’s results-oriented mindset. If Dez is the Railroad’s mom, Carrington’s their absent dad who keeps yelling at them for not getting straight As lol.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

I guess maybe liking him in general is unpopular cuz he is just so abrasive. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

This goes for the Railroad in general but I think Carrington would be a great vehicle for it: showing more of the darker side of the organization. Quests where you have to deal with a quarantined safehouse where infiltration has been confirmed. Dealing with people who might expose the organization. The more cut throat side of keeping the Railroad running.

a headcanon fact:

The man can cook a mean meal. He’s somewhat of a post-apocalyptic foodie. Also very minimalist, which makes his relationship with Tom pretty strained since Tom’s workstation and various projects tend to swallow up whole corners of HQ.Question Meme
