Randy Gonce - a candidate for the Hawaii State House of Representatives in District 40 - has today decided to run for public office by filing the necessary paperwork after speaking with Jane Sanders
THIS IS IT GUYS, THIS IS THE POLITICAL REVOLUTION. Cases like these, regular people running to make a difference is how the Reagan Revolution happened, so don’t tell me it can’t be done.
In this case, the truth is that “Unfortunately for Gonce, Hawaii’s 40th district is heavily Republican, voting for incumbent Republican Bob Mc Dermott over the Democratic candidate Rose Martinez 3,161 to 1,915, or a margin of 62% to 38%. The fact that Rose – a strong and accomplished candidate – was unable to pull within 10 percentage points makes the chances of victory for Gonce slim, but not non-existent.
If Mr. Gonce is able to formulate a strong, progressive platform and inspire people to get out and vote on election day, his win could be one of many for ‘Sanders Democrats’ all around the United States on both state and federal levels. If you would like to find out more about his campaign, you can like his page on Facebook. You can also financially contribute to his efforts by contacting him via his page.”
