The late Amin Sims's brother Joe is next. Joe Sims lives in an apartment with his young daughter Marsha, whom he's trying his best to provide for. The walls are thin, but Joe's neighbors seem nice enough... until they don't.
One day, a fire breaks out in Joe's appartment. It is extinguished quickly and no one is hurt, but everyone is rattled by it. Things get... weird after that.
A neighbor boy, Randy, starts violently attacking his mother Andrea and another neighbor, Tosha Lillard. At first, Joe assumes he just doesn't know something. Perhaps one too many pokes and prods have happened between them while he wasn't paying attention.
But then Randy attacks him!
Apparently, the boy has had a nervous break after the fire and is in need of professional help. Joe can only help him by a swift kick in the ass, making sure the twerp doesn't go near him or his daughter again. Andrea would have to deal with the rest.
Nevertheless, Joe is more careful with the stove after that, and he gets Marsha a kitten named Buttons to cheer her up after all the commotion, marking the end of fall.
[I have a mod that enables teen/adult fights, but as far as I'm aware it's not supposed to make teens into violent offenders. Randy had no traits yet at that point, and he's not even a mean sim, so I definitely blame the mod. Randy and Andrea/Tosha had all been nice to each other prior to the fire when Randy's aspiration dropped; while I could miss those relationships worsening, Joe and Randy barely knew each other, so.... Was it a bug? Was it a feature? I suppose I should look up that mod's original description at some point.]
Edit: So apparently the reason for Randy's behavior was actually the in-game immaturity feature which I had No Idea about. I've been playing this game for 20 years, what the heck. 😂
