These vibrant Power Rangers cookies are ideal for a Power Rangers-themed birthday party! The Rangers' unity and teamwork are represented by the swirled design.
Ingredients: 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Red, blue, yellow, green, and black food coloring. Edible silver glitter optional.
Instructions: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Divide the dough into five equal portions. Add a few drops of different food coloring to each portion to create red, blue, yellow, green, and black dough. Knead until the colors are evenly distributed. Wrap each colored dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and line baking sheets with parchment paper. Take a small amount of each colored dough and roll them together to create a multicolored log. Gently roll the log to create a swirled effect. Slice the dough into 1/4-inch thick rounds and place them on the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Optional: While the cookies are still warm, sprinkle some edible silver glitter for extra sparkle. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, the Power Rangers cookies are ready to serve at your birthday party!
