Holy shit so in this ranked game there’s only the Janitor-turned-Mafioso and a claimed sheriff is left. Everyone was like, well Town is toast. AND THEN IT TURNED OUT THAT THE CLAIMED SHERIFF IS A VETERAN AND SHE MADE A CLUTCH MOVE THAT MADE US WIN
((okay but why do people ask ‘who should i ban’ and then completely ignore the suggestions made like why fucking bother asking then fuck))
((Hi I know I only post here to say I’m still alive so here’s something different
Here’s me making a cool Baron play which negated the other team’s Baron buff entirely because we got an ace
yes, I flashed over the wall and then autoed Baron, I was trying to walk forward more to ult more people but it worked out in the end LMAO
Legit the crowning achievement of my League play so far))
Tfw you enter ranked with your main (and F up a few key-pressing too) - ...
Ahhh... The sweet, sweet smell of my brain frying up here and there.
@gaogaigar-the-king Glad to see your Space Child may have a new outfit, but old habits remain hard to die. <3
Yea it happend to me too that some ranked matches was like "one team getting rekt in 5 minutes" and others were really hard no matter our ranks. I once played a match that felt like playing with bots even enemy team had a really nice team composition. And once I lost because our healer went afk after 2 minutes because he was salty. I thought playing ranked will be a nice challenge for me but sometimes is totaly random xd Congrats on finishing placement!
Thank you! <3
Oh yeah. I witnessed some weird things too. Namely: people getting often very salty at our flanks for not killing this or that enemy Champ. Cotrary to popular belief, I rarely saw anyone getting as salty towards our healers or even tanks.
Team losing badly? It’s all that Skye/Maeve/flank!Pip’s fault for not killing off that enemy Kinessa/Cassie/Lex/whoever.
And the lowest point I witnessed was reached in a match where we had a player picking Fernando and trying to play him as Flanknando (because “double tanks” reasons). Mastery level: two. Yes, they kept dying horribly the whole time while screaming “VHS”.
It is also noteworthy that we were in Stone Keep and enemy team had a Willo spamming a Dead Zone after another from some demi-sniping spots.
Anyway! All in all, I’d rather take a Paladins ranked any day than a casual. Even at lower tiers, basic team comps are often more decent and balanced. If a team has 2 tanks, 1 healer - DPS - flank, so will the other. Unless the very last to pick decides to be a lil’ shiethead and choose a third tank instead. *cough*
P.S.: Playing ranked doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m completely giving up on trainings. I’m training trash and I’ll keep on being training trash. :°D
So, after nearly two years on Paladins I finally gave those ranked a go for the first time ever.
Today I finished the placements and somewhat I made it Silver I, although there have been times when a match went so badly that I thought the game itself would’ve refused to give me any lacement at all. Only a nice & kind “gtfo comps and come back when you’ll gitgud, scrub :)”
On the downside, me and @gaogaigar-the-king dragged both Serpomiz and @nighta-starfeather into low tier hell, which means that at least one of them went from Platinum V back to Gold I. Whoopsie.
