This person I was talking to caught my vague league reference [my low key method used to see if anyone plays]. He happened to be diamond and I asked him about his particular view of what it means to “solo-carry” ranked games. He explained that his strategy from bronze to diamond 4 was to play champions that would “hype” or inspire team mates to play better. Examples on the Champions he played were: lux, TF, vayne, riven. Melting an enemy with a full lux rotation would lowkey “force” a teamate to trust him and follow him up everytime. Flashing in with riven and ulting while getting a double kill would trigger the same response. He told me champs like karma, brand, renekton, and varus [my mains] dont trigger that hype factor b/c their full rotations are underwhelming and outplays go unnoticed. Interesting perspective i have to say. He told me he won 20 games in a row with lux then started losing at d3, because d3 seems to be where the largest gap in skill lies. He then would lose bc players respect the TF ult and respect the lux combo. [His ign: RagnarokChu]
