aoi... i swear if it weren’t for you i wouldn’t be nearly as active. you made me feel so much more comfortable in this space and let me ramble and feel validated and i can’t put in words how much that means to me!! i’m so happy we were able to bond right away and talk about some collective fears but also hype each other up to speak out when we need to. and thank you so much  🥺 the birthday wishes already make this day a million times better 😭

C’mon you have to try one, you won’t regret it. ❜ though maybe her lines are a bit rehearsed, she is a guide after all-- however, she makes the sweets herself ( a warm comfort in memory of simpler times ), and maybe she can persuade the SOLDIER in telling her a bit more about WHY they’re investigating nibelheim by being a bit more friendly. taking off her hat she sets it aside, never really been fond of the tour guide get up, she tries to get out of wearing it as much as possible.  ❛ I'm sure even SOLDIERS can have a break or two, investigation or not ?  ❜

Think about it, if he loses an hour, it was for sleep after all. and he couldn’t help but shake his head for a moment.  He needed to forget about it for a moment as he couldn’t help but let out a small sigh from his lips. taking a second he thought about something -- he was always thinking about something, and a soft chuckle left his lips for a moment. bringing a smile on his face for a moment he looked at the younger one.

                maybe she likes to ROMANTICIZE where he’s at, but she likes to think he’s reachable to some extent. he’s not the CONSTELLATIONS she looks up during a clear sky & he’s not a revered WAR HERO. not yet. maybe that’s why she’s made sure her contact with the shinra corporation is a revolving door. tifa feels like zack & sephiroth have made a more lasting impression on her than the other SOLDIER units she’s come in contact with.  she didn’t hide her DISAPPOINTMENT when she questioned zack about cloud. she might check the papers again. it’s not the most PRESSING issue, she has. tifa’s more worried about the guard that was helping her out. she feels too RECKLESS, perhaps in an effort to show off her independence. fists could make their own time of fury too.               once zack cleared the enemy in front of them, she rushes to the infantry’s man fainted body. ❛ ...he tried to protect me ❜ tifa gazes at the blue-eyed SOLDIER.  ❛ do you think he’ll be fine ? ❜ her sunny demeanor is downcast before she places her hand on top of her cowboy hat. she doesn’t know what kind of injuries he’s sustained. without a second thought, she takes the moment to let the footman’s body lean on hers. tifa wraps one of his arms around her neck.  ❛ let’s head back. what about the town? ❜

        the last thing she wants is a tragedy to befall her home. sometimes she thinks all the boys at her hometown leaving were ants, forming a line to look for some sort of work. tifa doesn’t want it to be empty again, a hollowed out bee’s nest with remains scattered on the ground. this place has become a tourist spot, people coming & going with no business but sights. she makes a note that once this is all over, she’d ask zack about this mystery soldier that protected her.

His frown is instant, there’s not even enough time to pull out the gun tucked rather uncomfortably in the back of his belt before some stranger jumps in front of him wielding an ungodly large sword. What the fuck? The Lion was perfectly capable of handling some slum thugs without the aide of that thing clutched far too easily in this guys hand. But he’s already trash-talking his opponents, and Squall can’t even get a look in for the size of that blade obscuring his view.

It’s easy to see why the stranger might think him just an ordinary civilian, he is dressed in a smart suit, glasses too. But his appearance is all a cover, and he supposes its better to keep it that way, let whoever this man is deal with trouble like any other citizen might. Still, it’s frustrating to be thought of as weak when you’re anything but. He sighs, takes a step back to let what he expects to be a short confrontation take place.

“My hero.”  Sarcastic tone comes easily as does a sharp scowl, no one said he needed to play a damsel in distress role, right?

Tifa has BIG TIME nightmares from Nibelheim and has some pretty severe insomnia because of it too. She’s often going nights with poor, interrupted sleep, or just opting to not sleep at all. Her preference for when and how to sleep is when she’s surrounded by people, during the day, surrounded by light and noise.

It’s why she’s out so late and up so early - trying to keep herself busy, trying to keep her mind off of it. When she does fall asleep and has a nightmare, it’s violent; she will wake up screaming, swinging, in fight mode.
