I'm not sure if a lot of people know this, but I'll just explain to prevent any confusion!
MU or 'Mutual Understanding' is a slang term we use for two people, who know and acknowledge each other's feelings for each other but their relationship isn't 'official.' It's more 'informal', in a way? It's similar to a 'talking stage' in one's relationship with a partner. Although, sometimes the dynamic of that stage of the relationship differs depending on the two of them. Sometimes it can just be something akin to a situationship. And sometimes these two people do not put a label in the relationship either, either for fun, or for other reasons such as nervousness/anxiety of taking their relationship a step ahead or for 'making things official.' Or smth along those lines....

Best friend Premium or 'BFF Premium' on the other hans, is another slang or term that means, basically a very close, intense platonic relationship that mimics a romantic relationship. Basically friends giving a 'premium' kind of level of support and emotional support/intimacy, something like what a romantic partner would typically do for their romantic partner. Although, from my experience, it's mostly used as a 'joke' for people (especially best friends) who do not have a proper label for their relationship—either these 'best friends' knew about their feelings for each other, or something else🤷♀️ it's also another joke between people who are in a 'MU' relationship.
