Every time I learned about racism in the past, it felt distant to me. I knew it made me feel angry, disappointed, but I never could see it actually happening, because it just sounded so disgusting. I accepted that it happened, but could never feel the reality.
But I realize the human race is still confused, angry, and clueless.
We still live in the world of homophobia, we know of the horrible conditions of agriculture and treatment of animals in mega farms, and we are aware of the racism that has settled itself comfortably in our culture.
Improvement happens when we question where we are, how we behave, and what our consequences may be. I know that majority of us turn a blind eye to what may shake up our norms and cause discomfort, but I also know that we have more than enough potential to be another generation that caused a wave of change.
I realize that we have so much to give.
