In The Beginning
As I sit here at my computer, waiting for my hair color to set and watching my cat lick my knee, I wonder about what I want out of this blog.
I mean, there are so many types of blogs. Cooking blogs, parenting blogs, political blogs, cat blogs, porn blogs, comedic blogs, ect. I don’t even like the word “blog.” What would I call my “blog”?
Actually, I don’t care in the least what it is labeled.
One of the best things about the internet is I can say anything and maybe someone will see it or maybe not. But the bottom line is, I have things to say.
I have things to say about politics. I have things to say about religion. I have things to say about life and love and women and men. I have things to say about cats and how I feel and that I matter. I have things to say about what other people have said. I have things to say that don’t matter to anyone.
Instead of flood my facebook page I’d rather try out tumblr. I’ve actually never used tumblr before, but I know it’s reputation for being cruel to people. Well, the internet in general is a cesspool of people who hide behind a keyboard. But despite what people think, or what people say, I’ll just leave my thoughts on here and it will either be accepted, disputed, or ignored. Who cares.
As an introduction:
I’m a soldier in the US army.I’m married to an amazing person. I love to read and write. I love cats and own two of them. I love to cook. I love trash tv and funny youtube videos. I went to school at American University and UNCW. I have a degree in Criminology and it has given me a base for my interest in politics and social policy. I like to keep fit. I run, but I hate it. I can speak some Arabic. My dream is to travel but am grounded by a mound of student debt that prevents me from leaving the country. I’m moderately funny. I hate bullies. I believe in always doing the right thing.
I’ll post something of more substance later.
