Ranuculus – The Little Frog
Deriving its name from Rana, meaning little frog, Runuculus refers to about 500 species of flowers found near water, just like frogs. Ranuculus genus includes members like buttercups, water crowfoots and spearworts. The petals of this genus of flowers, specially the yellow one, are highly lustrous. The flash of the petals helps attract the pollinating insects and to maintain the temperature of the flower's reproductive organs. Though these plants flower in springs, we have them available for you all year round.
There is a range of colors available for you to chose from. Starting from White, Baby Pink, Yellow and Peach in the lighter shades to Orange, Red, Burgundy and Hot Pink on the darker scale. Make your choice to make your statement at any event. Weddings parties or events planned from April through September would look gorgeous with lovely Ranuculus as they are available in all radiant colors during this period. Select a single color of your choice to go with your clothing or be more experimenting with an assorted bunch or bouqet to show your creativity.
Use them in combination with Hydrangea, Roses, Tulips or Peonies as they complement each other. Add some greenery to these arrangements and they will look absolutely stunning in your centerpieces. Use pure white Ranuculus for your bunches at outdoor parties at night for a perfect moonlight effect. For a mix of traditional and contemporary style bridal bouqet, use pink Ranuculus with pink Orchids, white Lilies and green Trachellium along with some small and hanging succulents. Using a matching silk ribbon to tie these at the stem will make an awesome bridal bouqet.
