about my photoshoot -- 10.31.2011
when i started modeling, i have observed that every... what, 4 months, i get to have a gig. sometimes, on the first year, it was surprisingly sharp, like at the turn of every quarter, there would be an offer. sometimes, they just flock, sometimes, they're late.
at the beginning of this year, i had one shoot, and i thought it would never be followed again because i drastically put on weight, and my body was loose. after that, i thought i'll never get a gig again, so i already put my lashes down, but after many months, one of my friends called and asked for a gig. then yesterday, i got a message from one of another photographer friend's former apprentice, asking me to be her model for a project so important to her at this point of her life.
i was surprised, shocked too. i told her immediately im not as skinny anymore, so better check my recent pics, but i assured her that if she'll tap me, i can still get the job done. basically, im not skeletal type anymore. im voluptuous, but i still know my job in front of the camera.
i like d peg, i like d concept, so i really said yes. and i told myself, this is it, this is a random call from a person who trusts my craft. i'll show them that even after gaining weight, i could still nail this. and im good. i wont waste this chance.
and im so ever glad that aside from being a good shoot for me, i got to know the team better. so on this entry, i'll introduce to you guys the people behind the team:
so this cute girl over here, this is yelle (https://www.facebook.com/mrielzky). Yeah i know, she's reaaaaly cute and very sweet. i think she's a graduating student taking up multimedia arts at the mapua institute of technology in intramuros (gogogog intramuros). i met her through a photographer friend's lighting workshop, she's one of the participants, along with her friends. seeing her past works, for me, our set earlier is the best of her work so far. she's a fast learner, very open for suggestions and knows what she wants. you guys oughta meet her! ^_^
this fella over here is rap. actually its him and sir oli (no picture available, but u can check em out here https://www.facebook.com/rapyuphotography and https://www.facebook.com/olivertam.airbrush.artist) are the ones that guided us with lights, setup and arrangement. practically they own the studio, so you'll get to meet them definitely when you rent their studio. theyre also easy to work with, very nice people, outgoing. talented too!
this one, is my make up artist. he is raymund (https://www.facebook.com/raymund.defeo). i'm not sure if he's a bisexual or a total whatever you call it, but he is very fun to be with, full of laughs and life. i like the way he works, very frank, very caring to how his delegate is feeling. he's also very frank, he'll tell u d answer if ur asking for an answer. i hope i get to work with this one too soon, (ps, i love the contour!)
unfortunately, the stylist still hasnt added me, but u can find him here (https://www.facebook.com/h.pyroli). this is another easy to work with person. actually, in this production, are would i find the combination of two gay strangers harmonious, i mean, usually, they banter eACH other, but with what happened earlier, it was really just all fun. rolee, for me, of all the stylists i ever had in my past shoots, is the most ready of em all. when i wasked yelle, if there would be anything they need from my end, anything for me to bring, her reply was yes. it got me skeptical, but still i proceeded. and i wont be surprised she answered that way. this guy has everything the production would need on his palm. and take note: she only took the mrt. beat that!
so there! i wish i was able to give/post everyone their picture, but sorry hahaha. these people do really deserve to be worked with. try following their links if you're interested with any of them. i'll just make another blog for the behind the scenes (phone got broken; got only one shot from my 6680, so means poor documentation T_T) and for the exhibit to which the photos would be used to. i'll just keep you guys posted.
and, oh, guys, by the way. HAPPY HALLOWEEN! KEEP SAFE EVERYBODY!!!
