The Way Forward
Asking Raphael Chikukwa what is the way forward after the Biennale exhibition, he said "well, we have come, we have made our statement into the contemporary art world. We will wait for the response, but a number of people have come forward and commented on the visibility of Zimbabwe and African art." Asked what he has learnt in Venice, Raphael said that he has been able to interact with other curators he has not previously met, as well as many artists. His final comment? "This pavilion is just the tip of the iceberg. My advice is, if you want to see more, go to Zimbabwe."
