meta: how did bork and aku start out? what was their first day, week, month like? basically—- what was it like during the first year of them meeting?

First off credit to @skullcrxsher because this is also based around the HCs she came up with and some we did together.
Firstly, Akutagawa was one of the ability users that developed his ability nearly from birth. Rashomon’s first memories (that he can recall) are just a few days after Aku was born. He recalls being conscious, but unable to move or speak or act. All he knew was that he was aware and that he was wrapped around a baby. He knew he wasn’t the baby, he understood he was a separate consciousness but he couldn’t really understand what it was.
For years he basically just… observes. Watches the tension in the house focused around the father, watches Gin born and beginning to grow. But he’s also feeling, feeling Aku’s growing hatred for his father.
And for all those years he had been working on doing. Just doing. Doing anything, moving, speaking, anything. So he starts to be able to move pieces of Aku’s clothes, swish a belt or ripple a hem. Then he can make little tendrils from the cloth, maybe a tiny head if he concentrates. He just wants to be acknowledged as alive and there.
But
Aku ignores him. He thinks he’s some figment of his imagination and that no one but him can see Rashomon. And it starts to get complicated when he starts putting more effort into being noticed. Aku’s parents start to notice, they know what ability users are and his father hates that his child is one. Rashomon doesn’t understand that what he’s being a catalyst to is bad, in fact, with Aku’s silent loathing he starts to get more bold.
When Aku, and subsequently Gin, are eventually abandoned he still doesn’t really get it. He just knows hate and that the surroundings are different. So he keeps up with the work. He starts to help, learns Aku has almost total control over him (he kinda knew this before but it’s much more obvious on the streets). He helps protect the siblings and their new friends and Aku begins to acknowledge him as real and useful.
They learn to communicate better with each other with nearly soundless means and learn to start working together.
So…uhhh to answer your question, there was really no “first meeting” they just always were together. Aku always had this “thing” living around him for as long as he knew.
